I arrived at Nsefu camp on foot. I had spent 2 incredible nights prior to Nsefu at the Robin Pope Luangwa River Bush Camp. My Bush Camping team who walked me to Nsefu was amazing. Nsefu was the end of my safari, and I am so glad that it was planned that way. Arriving at Nsefu and being greeted by the Nsefu team with a refreshing beverage was a great start to the last few days of my adventure. Nsefu is such a gem. It is a stunning camp! The location and views are perfect.
After getting acquainted with the camp and starting to settle in my room I looked out the window to see a herd of elephants across the Luangwa River getting a drink. What a treat. The camp was well-maintained. The camp has a great blend of a cared for lodging facility in a wilderness environment. I found my room to be very comfortable and cozy. I slept great under my mosquito net.
I really liked the fact that the camp was small and intimate. You get to know the staff and other guests. As a solo female traveler, I also had space to absorb my surroundings and take it all in. I felt safe and comfortable. Of course, you are in the African bush, so you need to be aware of your surroundings, but I felt that the staff was also looking out for me, so I was able to relax.
The game drives were fantastic. Everything that I had hoped for, and a dream come true. The wildlife viewing and birdwatching was very fun and exciting. We saw elephants, leopards, hippos, giraffes, water buffalo, crocs, and so many other animals/birds. I have a new favorite bird – the Lilac-breasted Roller, what a beautiful bird! The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. I had so much fun with all of them and learned a lot about the African bush!
The food was fantastic. The food and beverage staff incorporated my dietary needs into the meals, and I am very grateful for that service.
You can tell that the Robin Pope Safaris team works hard behind the scenes to make the guest experience exceptional. They were all genuinely friendly and helpful.
This trip was everything I had hoped for in an African safari. All-in-all my only problem was that I didn’t want to leave! I was not there long enough, which I plan to remedy. I will...
Read moreNsefu was the second stop in our trip to Zambia, planned before Covid and arranged by Tracey from African Travel resource. She listened to us and made sure the trip was what we wanted and she didn’t disappoint. Nsefu was our second camp in South Luangwa and was our touch of luxury in the trip. Very comfortable accommodation and great guiding. The whole ambience of the camp was relaxing with views over the river. Amazing food and great conversations round the Boma. Nine leopard sightings in three days was an amazing experience with one exciting encounter when a leopard was tracking along a gulley to approach some animals, no hunt but a real memory. This with the rest of the many animals was totally memorable. Thank you for the...
Read moreGreat Campo and fantastic Staff. We saw everything. 7 Leopard sightings, 2 male lions, hyena, giraffe, elephant etc etc. Camp was very comfortable and had a good array of drinks. Food was very good and we enjoyed rustic and kitchen cooked dinners.
Rooms were comfortable. Water takes a while to warm up and the water pressure was not great.. Although many would adhere to not having any access to wifi, for our trip it was quite important and that is something that was lacking at the Tim...
