Kaingo is easily in the top-3 list of all the safari camps I’ve visited over 11 years. Cally is one of the best camp managers I’ve seen, and seasoned safari goers know that having a competent camp manager is the lynchpin to the quality of your experience. With Chef Katherine, Kaingo provides the best meals I’ve had in any safari, including at ultra-luxury camps. Every single morsel of food we were served was well-thought out and perfectly cooked. Details, such as setting aside special dishes for those who would prefer alternative proteins, are taken care of proactively without you having to ask. They heard one of our campmates share a story of how she doesn’t eat raw vegetables and at the next meal, cooked vegetables appeared. Joseph, one of the kindest people you’ll meet, saw that we liked our red wine chilled and without being asked, he took it upon himself to have the wine ready to our liking. None of this happens by accident, it happens due to a culture of outstanding service that starts at the very top. We also had a top-3 ever guiding experience from Braston, who’s both incredibly competent and driven, and super charismatic with an amazing sense of humor and a love of his profession. Lastly, while at Kaingo, we met others who come to this camp again and again and I understand why. Can’t...
