Let me tell you, this was my very first time at the beach, ever! And Isanga Bay provided the ideal predicate. Our day began with a boat ride to the bay, seeing the bay as it approached were two of the most incredible moments of my life, I almost died guys, the view. The sunset cruise to just sitting on the beach and playing in the warm sand was an experience I will never forget. Plus the temperature on the bay and throughout the year is warm-hot, so you can literally go any time. I found the staff to be both professional and welcoming. When you needed help, they were there to help, and they also made you feel safe and at home. Included in our itinerary (and just a few of the activities offered) were an evening sunset cruise and an afternoon kayaking trip, then a hike to Kalambo Falls. If you haven't seen the sunset from isanga, you haven't seen a sunset at all. Kayaking was a great too despite not been able to swim I rowed that little boat. If you're looking for a view of one of the world's tallest falls, the hike to the top of the mountain to see the Kalambo falls is worth it. During my visit to isanga bay, I felt like I had entered another world. It was a nothing short of magical Please...

We were staying at Mpulungu but decided to spend few hours at Isanga.|They sent their own speed boat to collect us and even agreed to take us to Luke's beach for extra charge.|After Luke's beach we landed here (it's almost 1 hour away from Mpulungu)We immediately ordered food and as we waited ,decided to chill out at beach.|The water level is waist high and calm.It gives you a feeling of being at Zanzibar.|We spent nice hour relaxing on beach and water before were called for food.|The food is amazing. We ordered chicken burger, rice with veg curry and fish. All the dishes were mouthwatering .It added to the overall experience of a happy holiday.|Again spent few more hours in water before leaving for Mpulungu.|The lodge has limited accomodations which gets booked quickly so if you need to experience it then book well in advance.|They have camping area where many families were camping so I guess the access by road is not very challenging.|We have good memories of the place and will definitely visit again if we are...

Isanga Bay Lodge is an absolute gem nestled on the Zambian side of Lake Tanganyika. I simply cannot recommend it more highly. The managers, Morkel, Yolanda and their girls are hospitality sector lifers and it shows in every single thing they do. They simply cannot do enough to make all their guests stay more special and you really feel like you are part of their family (but, and this was Important for me, completely unobtrusively). The three beach chalets are delightfully located and I had hot showers every day. Great food with a hot flask of water brought to make your filter coffee delivered in the early hours of the morning. Super smooth transfers to and from the lodge and exceptional value for money... honestly what more could one ask for... the day trip to Kalambo Falls was a real highlight as was kayaking for hours on their pristine bay. I’d worry about this gem getting out too far for fear it could be overrun but with the way the managers are leading it, it just won’t happen. Well done and for sure I...

Great campsite with good facilities (in general) and nice lake view. Shower pressure is not the best and warm(ish) water takes almost 10 minutes to arrive (turn tap to the right!). Toilets quite dark during the day. The last 10km before camp is rocky and quite washed away by latest rains, but still manageable without special 4x4 requirements. Kayak 5 usd per day totally worth it. Saw otters around several times. No MTN internet signal. 15 USD ppn.

Beautiful place away from the hustle and bustle of urban noise in town. A serene environment great for a retreat or simple peace of mind. Western menu is prominent and the boat cruise is terrific on lake Tanganyika. This place is specifically for those whose eyes are fatigued with with town scenes and an exactly opposite atmosphere of normal daily life.

We were greeted with a refreshing drink as we stepped off the boat, by Yolande, Morkel and their daughters. Had an amazing week, canoeing, snorkeling, swimming, bit of fishing. Guys thanks for going the extra mile, getting fresh fish was such a treat. And the weather was amazing. Well done and hope to be back again.
