Let me tell you, this was my very first time at the beach, ever! And Isanga Bay provided the ideal predicate. Our day began with a boat ride to the bay, seeing the bay as it approached were two of the most incredible moments of my life, I almost died guys, the view. The sunset cruise to just sitting on the beach and playing in the warm sand was an experience I will never forget. Plus the temperature on the bay and throughout the year is warm-hot, so you can literally go any time. I found the staff to be both professional and welcoming. When you needed help, they were there to help, and they also made you feel safe and at home. Included in our itinerary (and just a few of the activities offered) were an evening sunset cruise and an afternoon kayaking trip, then a hike to Kalambo Falls. If you haven't seen the sunset from isanga, you haven't seen a sunset at all. Kayaking was a great too despite not been able to swim I rowed that little boat. If you're looking for a view of one of the world's tallest falls, the hike to the top of the mountain to see the Kalambo falls is worth it. During my visit to isanga bay, I felt like I had entered another world. It was a nothing short of magical Please...

Read moreIsanga Bay Lodge is an absolute gem nestled on the Zambian side of Lake Tanganyika. I simply cannot recommend it more highly. The managers, Morkel, Yolanda and their girls are hospitality sector lifers and it shows in every single thing they do. They simply cannot do enough to make all their guests stay more special and you really feel like you are part of their family (but, and this was Important for me, completely unobtrusively). The three beach chalets are delightfully located and I had hot showers every day. Great food with a hot flask of water brought to make your filter coffee delivered in the early hours of the morning. Super smooth transfers to and from the lodge and exceptional value for money... honestly what more could one ask for... the day trip to Kalambo Falls was a real highlight as was kayaking for hours on their pristine bay. I’d worry about this gem getting out too far for fear it could be overrun but with the way the managers are leading it, it just won’t happen. Well done and for sure I...
