Freshview Homes — Hotel in Southern Province

I feel that I'm being generous with the 2 stars. Fresh View is sitting on a very nice location and has decent facilities, but is not helped by the lack of service.

Upon arrival, the toilet in my room was unflushed, and there weren't any towels in our rooms.

When we went for dinner, we ordered a main with salads. When, after 3 attempts to get a greek salad with some cheese in it, our untouched table salad was removed and not replaced by anything else (this later was explained that the salad wasn't for our table at all). No seasonal vegetables or sadza/Nshima/mieliepap was offered as a secondary option (although 2 others at our table had ordered that with their main, and received their portion. The waiter then proceded to blame us for the lack of salad and confusion caused.

Fresh View; you NEVER blame the paying guest for a blatant error or mistake made on your side. If you don't have salad, come and tell your patrons that, and we would have happily ordered a different side.

On the positive side, Wifi is available, albeit slow and limited to a single device. Staff were happy to give me a second voucher, so that I could connect both phone and laptop...

Six months later there has been a change in Management. This has caused serious problems.the place is unkempt. The bathrooms have spiderwebs and the rooms are not cleaned properly. They overbooked the venue and canceled one of our rooms forcing us to share.Hence were three in a room.The food was always delayed and you has to follow the waiters who were un attentive.In the two days I was there, I waited 2 hours for each meal before I was served.the food was undercooked and substandard.Then there's a noise problem-so much for relaxing 😧. I had to ask them to clean my room twice and still it wasn't cleaned adequately.I just gave up.If I could have moved I would but all the lodges in the area had no extra lodging. I am giving them 2 starts because the view is still beautiful.It is great place for taking photos.If you are in and out on one day without staying the night-then go there(BUT EAT...

Bad service. Literally had to ask for towels, sheets and blankets. Sheets in the room were dirty and stained including the duvet cover. Pillows were disappointing to say the least. The shower in one of the rooms we booked had no working shower... we shared the shower in the other room. Breakfast....the baked beans were the only item not disappointing. The potatoes were undercooked; bread tasted like badly cooked corn bread no spreads to go with it; eggs were sad; sausage tasted like cardboard 😭😭😭 No considering for vegetarian or vegan individuals. Part of our group was unable to eat. Breakfast was delayed by an hour and half The P.O.S. was not available neither services for money exchange without notice.
