The food was horrible at dinner on both night and we only at at 10pm when they specifically told us it would be served at 7. Potatoes were rotting, the green beans were not fresh, and the chicken was so dry and bathed in ginger.||The rooms do not have a fridge in them, and the taps do not have drinkable water, so imagine my shock when I was told we could not be sold mineral water until the bar opens at 10am and the rooms don't have any complimentary bottles of water.||One of the Chef's was drunk and even talked back insisting his meals were well prepared even when shown the rotten potatoes.||At freakfast, one of the 6 people I was with could not eat the stale bread they brought us. When he asked for a few slices of Tomato instead, he was told they could not give him that because it was not part of the breakfast menu.||While this place is beautiful and has breathtaking views from the rooms, I can honestly say the service is beyond pathetic. The owner from the moment we sent our advanced payment for the accomodation did not bother to take or return any of the call. Even he doesn't stay at his own resort...

If there is anything I would change it would be to put fridges in the rooms and also the very simple step to have doom or similar insect killer on the safari as well as insect repellant because the flies are a nuisance but skilled at avoiding swatting - chemical death is the solution.
Also if you are a vegetarian you probably wouldn't like the food but the solution to that is to stop being a vegetarian. Normal people will love it - it is delicious and extremely...
Read moreWe arrived to very warmly staff who made checking in extremely easy especially after our long drive from Lusaka. We arrived just in time for lunch and the waiter quickly took our orders and oriented us around the lodge. The lodge has stunning view of Lake Itezhi Tezhi although I did hope to see more animals as the lodge is in the middle of the Kafue National Park. ||||The lodge doesn’t have its own game drive vehicles or boats so you have to book these activities through other lodges which are unfortunately a nightmare to deal with. This was the most stressful part of the trip.||||Overall the meals were great and the staff...
