The food was horrible at dinner on both night and we only at at 10pm when they specifically told us it would be served at 7. Potatoes were rotting, the green beans were not fresh, and the chicken was so dry and bathed in ginger.||The rooms do not have a fridge in them, and the taps do not have drinkable water, so imagine my shock when I was told we could not be sold mineral water until the bar opens at 10am and the rooms don't have any complimentary bottles of water.||One of the Chef's was drunk and even talked back insisting his meals were well prepared even when shown the rotten potatoes.||At freakfast, one of the 6 people I was with could not eat the stale bread they brought us. When he asked for a few slices of Tomato instead, he was told they could not give him that because it was not part of the breakfast menu.||While this place is beautiful and has breathtaking views from the rooms, I can honestly say the service is beyond pathetic. The owner from the moment we sent our advanced payment for the accomodation did not bother to take or return any of the call. Even he doesn't stay at his own resort...

Made to feel very welcome at this place, which is clearly good enough to have had a Chiefteness eating at it yesterday! You can also expect to see baboons in the grounds and possibly elephants too. I'm writing this on the last night overlooking the moonlit lake on our private balcony with just the sound of crickets and the flickering of the kapenta fishers and it is bliss.

Especial thanks to Agrey who has gone above and beyond as a waiter and guide, as well as Alfred and Christine.

If there is anything I would change it would be to put fridges in the rooms and also the very simple step to have doom or similar insect killer on the safari as well as insect repellant because the flies are a nuisance but skilled at avoiding swatting - chemical death is the solution.

Also if you are a vegetarian you probably wouldn't like the food but the solution to that is to stop being a vegetarian. Normal people will love it - it is delicious and extremely...

We arrived to very warmly staff who made checking in extremely easy especially after our long drive from Lusaka. We arrived just in time for lunch and the waiter quickly took our orders and oriented us around the lodge. The lodge has stunning view of Lake Itezhi Tezhi although I did hope to see more animals as the lodge is in the middle of the Kafue National Park. ||||The lodge doesn’t have its own game drive vehicles or boats so you have to book these activities through other lodges which are unfortunately a nightmare to deal with. This was the most stressful part of the trip.||||Overall the meals were great and the staff...

Love this place! I had a couple of days on my own after a work meeting prior to covid and took the bus from Lusaka. They were very helpful in getting me there. The lodge was clean and well done. My room was simple, but clean and spacious, and had a great view of the lake. The food was good and the location was stunning. The proprietors helped me arrange a safari into the park and came along with me - even brought some beer for me! They could not have been friendlier and really looked after me well. Lots of great wildlife too. Thought I had left a review of the place before, but realized I never did! Sorry its so late!

What an unbelievable place to spend some time! Fantastic Staff with great services. For a remote location, the food is 5 star, fresh and delicious! This lodge is picture perfect with views that will take your breath away! The host and manager Alfred is a super star and will assist with anything you need at any time. The bar area is a great area to spend time and loads of activities and games are offered here. The Kafue National Park is on your doorstep and a trip to town is a definite must - African cultural experience to the max. I will definitely be back!
