Read moreThe hotel has exceeded all our expectations. We spent 4 days and it was the best choice in Victoria Falls. It is located on a large territory, in the middle of a natural park, a little away from the city – there are free shuttles to the waterfall according to the schedule. You can literally be at the safari every day. There are "pumbas", bush backs, partridges walking around the territory, and of course, the uniqueness of this hotel is that it overlooks the waterhole, where elephants, zebras, antelopes come to drink, marabou and vultures fly over. At 1 p.m., the vultures are fed at the hotel, by this time the birds begin to flock, and this is an incredible sight.|The main building is a classic African–style lodge. Lots of cozy space, everything is very atmospheric. Aesthetic enjoyment at any time of the day. We had breakfast and dinner there. For lunch, we ordered pizza and drinks by the pool. |We traveled with two children. Stayed in a two-stories suite. Master bedroom upstairs with a balcony, the other bedroom on the ground floor. Each with a large ensuite bathroom. The beds are very comfortable. Cleaning and service - twice a day, cleaning in the morning, and preparing the bedrooms for sleep in the evening. Drinking water was constantly replenished. Good fast internet connection. Welcome drinks in minibar. Mosquito repellents are both sprays and individually packaged cream. |The only thing lacking is a small shop with a minimum set of necessary goods. After all, the hotel is a bit isolated. There was a souvenir shop with a nice choice of decorations and textiles. But no snacks or soft drinks. Just a few chocolates. |Summarizing: we were absolutely delighted with our stay. If you book such lodges in national parks, it costs a way...
Read moreWe spent 2 nights here in a 2 bedroom suite. We had a package which included 2 dinners, 1 lunch, a sunset cruise, and a tour of Victoria Falls. The room itself is excellent. There were 2 balconies where we saw many animals including warthogs, bushbuck, mongooses, guinea fowl and monkeys. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. There were two bathrooms that provided amenities such as shampoo, conditioner and even bug spray. The staff were all very friendly. We enjoyed the settings for meals which provided a view of a watering hole where animals would gather. We enjoyed attending the vulture feeding and found the guide informative and truly passionate about the plight of these birds. The pool area looked beautiful although we did not use it. The sunset cruise which was arranged with a company called Pure Africa was lovely. ||I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the food was not very good. We found the Boma show to be a bit of a tourist trap. The Victoria Falls tour which was arranged by the resort was also a little chaotic and we were delayed about 45 minutes due to confusion about the number of people on the tour, transportation and ticket allocation. The guide did not really provide much info. I think we would have been better off just taking the hotel shuttle and paying for a guide through the park. ||Over all, the room and setting is great. If we returned I would consider staying here but planning food and activities...
