Lovely hike with stunning views that can be done walking from Valbonë. Went there end of May 2023. There is a sign at the start of the hike next to the main road. You do need to cross the river and then find the actual trailhead on the other side. You can find painted markers (red and white/yellow) all along the trail, we went without a guide. After about 6 kilometers hiking there’s a wooden building that normally serves tea we heard. Because we went in May it was still closed but we were able to sit there to have our lunch break. Unfortunately, we couldn’t go higher than 2050 meters due to snow, which we reached after approximately 7-7.5 kilometers and 2.5-3 hours of hiking uphill. Despite that, the views of the valley were definitely worth it. The sign at the start of the trail says it’s a 6.5 hours one-way hike. I believe fit people can do this in 3.5-4 hours of hiking, to be honest.

Incredible hike completed in early Sept - took us 9h+ because I'm a slow hiker ☠️ The views en route to, and at the summit of Maja r rosit were amazing - we managed to catch some donkeys and cows grazing around too. It rained near and close to the summit with thunderstorms nearby which added to the atmosphere (literally). Here's some photos of Tomy the duck hiking (with Belle), I post more of our adventures @whereyiugoing on IG/other socials c:

It’s great hiking up! The view along the way is superb! Passing forest, meadow (I saw the sheep), and mountains surrounded. Need to have alltrail app since the sign can be hard to find However, I took it slow so total time I spent is almost 10 hours. In November, the sunset around 4:30pm so I need to hurry to get down.

Hard trail to complete. There are 3 main stops along the way. After about 7 kilometers the is a small house that serve cold drinks like coca-cola, fanta, water... 250 lek each (water are a bit cheaper). Most people get there and go back. Relatively easy to get there. After that you have the pass that overlook Montenegro. Very beautiful view. Its approx 12km total to go there (that you need to go back). Moderate difficulty to get there. The last stop is the peak itself. Approx 13km total. Going to the peak is challenging. The up-hill road is VERY steep and hard on your legs. Going back down is not exactly a treat either. Climbing up there adds around 50 minutes to the road so make sure you get there early enough. The view from the peak is mind blowing. You see everything. Maybe the most beautiful view I've ever seen. Just mind blowing. You have to be in decent shape to do this. I wasn't at the best shape and the last 90 minutes of the road I walked...
