Coma Pedrosa
Overall: Start and stop in Arnisal. Free parking close to the start. A quite tough walk. For me and my friend it took 6 hours including pauses. At some points it is very steep. Beautiful landscape and scenery. Could recommend this to anyone but you should be in good shape. We walked during a warm day i July with blue sky and no wind. It was quite a though walk for two 26-year old lads in good shape.
Start/stop: Arnisal. You can park the car here for free. The parking is at the start-point.
Time: For us it took 6 hours including pauses. I would guess many people use much more time because we walked in quite a fast pace the whole way up and down.
Views and environment: Amazing scenery and landscape. Many different types of landscapes. Super beautiful.
Advice: Bring good shoes. Sun hat, sun glasses, something to eat and drink and sunscreen during summer. Also good to have a map on the phone. We...
Read moreThe hike to the peak is rather difficult, but in saying that I went in the heat of the day 35degrees and started at noon. It took me 8hours return. I did not stop at the refuge, I carried on up by myself. You can reach the bottom by public transport bus from Andorra la Valle, purchase a return ticket and it will be cheaper. If you want more infortmation, you can go to the info desk at the trailhead and they can provide you with necessary tips. You need moderate to good fitness to do this hike in one day continuously, otherwise I highly recommend to stay at the refuge. Beautiful hike, absolutely stunning views with snow near the top as well. Note that there are two ways to reach the peak, if you go to the right-side facing the peak, it is much more difficult, more like a...
Read moreBeautiful hike, but definitely not an easy one and definitely NOT FOR BEGINNERS! It took 8.5 hours both ways including couple of breaks. Take lots of water especially in summer time. There is no shade after the Refuge. You can refill the bottles at the refuge.
Closer to the peak there are 2 ways. The first one goes along the ridge with lots of very difficult parts of free climbing , very exposed and steep parts.
The second way is after the lake on a steep gravel path. It's less technical but still demanding (I fell on the way down).
You can park for free in front of Yomo Patagonia Hotel (where the bus stop is also).
1400 m steep up and down in one day is alot and definitely not for a beginner / someone without alot of experience or...
