Pearns Point — Local services in Antigua

Pearns Point is quite a picturesque scenic spot located on the South Western Portion of Antigua. As a point of note this area is mainly occupied by a reasonably calm (As most of the other beaches on this Side of the Island) and serene powdery white sandy beach being adjacent and in extreme close proximity to Pern's Bay makes this an attractive proposition. There Camping ground (read, spot) and access to two Bays (Hanson and Perns) makes it ideal as well.

Getting there by land involves traveling through the Pern's Development (unless you are there already) on paved roads and also a short unpaved (undeveloped) section culminating into an eroded incline (once a road, now requiring skilled off-road driving and/or appropriate transportation).

The stunning views of Neighboring Islands (visibility allowing) is also an attraction. This spot is slightly remote and and somewhat deserted at times and as they say "you have to be going there" . I really enjoyed my visit and the pristine beauty certainly...

The trek to reach Pearns Point is worth every bit of the time spent getting here! I mean, if you're into secluded beaches and breathtaking ocean views, this place is for you! Keep in mind, there are NO beach clubs, chairs, or restaurants. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a beach towel to lay on.

The Antiguan sun is fierce, so plan accordingly. Other than that, I highly recommend visiting while you can as it is currently free.

I stayed here all day long and left before the sun went down due to the drive back. There are no street lights most of the way.

Pearns Point e le sue spiagge con la piccola grotta rosa. Pearns Poin si trova sul lato Ovest Mar dei Caraibi di Antigua a circa 5 Km da Jolly Harbour e 12 Km da Saint John, si ci può arrivare a piedini bici in auto,per accedere bisogna passare un sbarra con guardiola dove vi sarà richiesto di identificarsi perché bisogna attraversare una zona residenziale, poi una volta entrati c’è solo la scelta di almeno 4/5 bellissime spiagge di sabbia sottile e acqua trasparente, per un paio di spiagge bisogna parcheggiare l’auto e scendere a piedi su di una strada bianca un pò ripida per circa 100 mt consiglio scarpa tecnica o sandalo chiuso qui ci sono due bellissime spiagge una ridonata dal vento e con acqua calma l’altra a poche decine di metri divisa da un piccolo istmo esposta al vento e con mare un pò più mosso ,tra le du spiagge divise da un piccolo promontorio dove dalla parte opposta c’è una piccola e bellissima grotta rosa e un piccolo anfiteatro in mezzo alle rocce.Notizie utili qui ad Antigua c’è un fenomeno generalmente in Inverno che si chiama SWELL sono delle onde lunghe che quando raggiungono la spiaggia si innalzano molto e si infrangono e posso impedire la balneazione , per cui se SWELL io la sconsiglio, poi per quanto riguarda la grotta rosa è accessibile con mare piatto e comunque fare attenzione al passaggio di imbarcazioni che possono creare onde, grotta spettacolare ma pericolosa se entrano onde, consiglio scarpetta da scoglio o pinne fare attenzione ai ricci.naturalmente portarsi acqua ,crema solare, molto bello anche lo snorkeling sempre quando non c’è SWEll che...
