First time touching that sweet Patagonia granite can be a bit overwhelming. I’d say it wears off after a while but I don’t believe it does! - Rubio y Azul on Aguja Media Luna a sub peak off Cerro Torre and opposite the Fitz range behind me. They said not to go to Patagonia in the winter… but look at these views. We got the most clear view of Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre today and can’t wait to take a group of you back here in the next few years 🥹 #visitpatagonia #cerrotorre #fitzroy #elchalten #granolagirl #hikingtheglobe #hikingtrip

After a 10Km walk you get into a frozen lake, with a glaciar at the end of it and the "cerro torre" peak just behind it. Between june and august (the winter months in Argentina) you can walk through the lake and arrive as nearly as 40-50 meters from the glacier, which in there you can notice the ice is thin, because as you may know, glaciers move. The views are atonishing and i would absolutly recommend getting in there, even though later you have to walk 10 km back!
