This is a perfect alternate route to start the hike to Laguna de Los Tres…I got here at 6am and had the entire trail to myself, it also provides incredible views of the Piedras Blancas glacier that you can only get by doing this route…and this way is slightly shorter and easier than starting the hike from town like 99% of all people that do it when visiting El Chalten…highly recommend...

El camino a piedra de fraile es muy lindo, mucho bosque. Son aproximadamente 6 horas desde la ruta que va a lago del desierto y piedra del fraile es hermoso. Yo para llegar use el gps osm + que tiene los senderos marcados, igual se puede llegar sin eso ya que los senderos...

El lugar es bellísimo y el nivel de exigencia de la caminata es bajo. Desde la ruta hasta el refugio de Piedra del Fraile, son dos horas de caminata dentro de un bosque de lengas,...
