Such a cozy little airport. When you walk in all the check-in stations are to the right and if you are already checked in online, go left and the security gates are right next to the bathroom. security is not difficult when you come a little early and are not rushing with the crowd. You don’t have to take liquids out of your bag. I asked the security officer if we could bring our bottled waters and he said it was fine. You also don’t have to take off your shoes.
Everyone is pretty laid-back, as seems to be the general atmosphere in Argentina. Bathroom doesn’t have paper towels, so if you need to wash your face or something, you might want to bring your own little towels, but it does have soap and toilet paper in the middle of the airport, there is a Cafeteria before you walk into security. Coffee and croissant here is actually pretty good, especially after really bad coffee from the cafeteria at Perito Moreno.

Read moreSingle worst check in and security experience I've had in my 30ish flights to various airports. We arrived 2 hours early for a domestic flight and jetsmart had over an hour wait for bag drop.
Additionally there was only one security check point and they would hold up the line to call through soon departing flights. This is good usually because you can get through the line last minute. What happened here was that the normal line DID NOT MOVE. You had to stand in line wasting time because of their ineffective system and wait for someone to come calling your flight. If you were too far back or missed it then you werent getting on the flight.
Factor in that most travelers will ask if they can get infront of you in the security line and you had a line where everyone had the same flight time but was trying to push ahead of...
Read moreSmall, modern, very well maintained airport with stunning views over the Argentino lake. The cafe at departure level (upper floor) affords fantastic views over the tarmac, landing and departing planes and the lake. If you can, it is worth passing security well ahead of time and enjoy a cafe here (prices are very acceptable: almost the same as in the city). This is not always possible, as when boarding the largest plane that comes to the airport (the flight to Buenos Aires) the departure level is "at capacity" and they won't let you pass security is you are not on that flight to BA. Another plus is that if you flight North from here you get stunning vies of the Fitz Roy mountain while the plane climb (from the left side...
