I visited this place one day before covid lockdowns in Sydney. This is a great place to visit for walks and though I did not get inside the caves I will definitely go back to have a look. If you want to either come for a picnic of which there is picnic facilities or camping there is good facilities here including cabin options to stay in, camping grounds and toilets and showers. There is tapes if you need to fill up for water, but bring your own food and firewood and drinks. I think it’s a good safe camping area. My son got pretty close to some of the wild kangaroos in the area. And there is a beautiful little river that runs through the area. Be careful driving in as though it is two way lane the roads are quite narrow.

(Attached pics with pricing) A really great experience and the caves were actually really wonderful to explore we went on a self toured journey through it and I was really good. Picturesque landscapes and good weather but you do have to make sure that you pay otherwise you will not be able to access certain parts of the area. There is also a camping site so if you wanted to bring your family and camp you could do that too! I've attached pics with pricing !

It's a nice place to visit, very relaxing environment before entering the cave, and several 3km bush walks are available if the cave doesn't catch your interest. The self guided tour is currently unavailable, but a free guided tour runs at 1pm daily instead. The road to the caves is sealed all the way but very narrow at times with many blind corners. On the way back towards the main road we spotted a lyre bird which was a bonus.

We stayed in a cabin which was absolutely filthy. The cabin was full of dust, the furniture broken, the kettle so full of lime deposits it couldn't be used and they even had food left in the freezer from the previous guess. The old man at reception was extremely rude and didn't miss a chance to tell us of all the things we are not allowed to do every time he saw us. At first I thought he just didn't have any people skills, so I let it go but looking back on it he is over he's job and should be replaced ASAP! NSW parks and wildlife are just bloody greedy, we paid $50 (family of 4) to enter the cave which took less than 5 minutes to walk through. I guess these days you can't even enjoy nature without paying a fortune to see it! Despite what we read before travelling there, the walking trails are not sign posted and the trails are not clear to follow. We did actually have a great time although this is not any credit to National Parks and Wildlife. This is a lovely area to walk and explore just be pre-warned that the customer service is non-existent, cabins are filthy and the caves are extremely...

The area is absolutely beautiful pity about the rude non informative ranger. The map that we should have been given on arrival regarding walking trails we didn't get till the last day. Don't expect service with a smile. The kettle was unusable and so was the rusty fry pan. Trails were unmarked and caves way overpriced. You would have expected the bbqs to be clean since you had to pay for the use of them. Apart from all of that we had a great weekend and loved the serenity of the natural environment. The NSW parks and wildlife should make our Natural parks more affordable for families and make sure they are serviced with inviting...
