I really loved the location, it was basically a bush camp. I do not give a bad report unless it is bad and I have stayed in a lot of motels prior to this. ||We hired a chalet and thought how wonderful this would be in the middle of the bush. Once arrived, we were greeted by a person who did not even know how much we were quoted for the chalet and didn't know how to provide a receipt. Once taken to our chalet, we were told there was no reception for the TV (ok that was fine) then we find out there is no heating, :( it was a very cold night. We were asked to turn the hot water on as to provide a shower (that was fine too) it was a small hot water system, so the shower would be short ( ok fine) The chalet wasn't the cleanest, the sink was dirty, the windows were dirty, a note saying to clean your dishes, but the dish liquid was empty. I was a bit upset when my husband had a shower and had to cut the shower very short with half a shave as the drainage wasn't working and the shower flooded. I did not have a shower and was very upset to say the least. There were no toiletries provided, which I thought quite rude considering we paid $300 for two nights. We insisted on getting a refund for the second night as it was quite appalling. It could be a great place if it was maintained and managed more efficiently, but at this stage we will not be back. The Old Mill Motel in Dongara was awesome on the second night, so clean and tidy and it even had a small sink to wash dishes, someone was on our side thank goodness. Sorry for the rant, but I am in remission for cancer and cleanliness is at the foremost and this just...

Read moreMy wife and I visited Western Flora hoping to buy some books about wildflowers. When I entered the shop the lady immediately asked me "What can we do for you?". I said I was just browsing, and started to look at the books. My wife was struggling to scan the SafeWA QR code outside the door, so I went out to check on her. She couldn't get the app to work and we couldn't see a paper contact-tracing register, so she went to use the toilet while her phone rebooted.||||I chatted with the lady about local wildflowers, then went to use the toilet myself, intending to come back to the shop so we could both look at the books. Before I got back, the male owner intercepted me, telling me I was very rude to use their facilities without buying anything. I tried to explain that I was on my way back to the shop to look at the books but he ignored me and continued his lecture, saying that they expected visitors to support their business. When I rejoined my wife she told me that the man had spoken just as rudely to her, and also to another couple who arrived after us. (They were offered a wildflower tour and when they declined they were given the same lecture.) By this stage we felt so uncomfortable and intimidated that we left empty-handed.||||Unless you plan to spend money the moment you arrive, don't come here. Browsers are...
