Coomera Falls — Local services in Binna Burra

The walk to Coomera Falls from Binna Burra Tea House is about 5.5–6 km one way. Throughout the entire trail, you’ll only see one sign pointing to the falls — but don’t worry, just keep following the main path and you’ll get there.

Just a heads-up: the location marked as “Coomera Falls” on Google Maps isn’t quite accurate. If you look closely, the actual waterfall is located closer to the spot labeled “Yarrbilgong Falls.”

Hallo, bei meinem Besuch hier im Lamington National Park, war ich auch hier an den Coomera Wasserfällen. Ein super schöner Lookout gibt euch einen tollen Blick auf diese großen Wasserfälle im Osten des Parks. Doch der Weg bis hier her hat es in sich, kein Zuckerschlecken dieser Trail. Wer hier her will muss sehr zeitig los. Ich bin morgens gegen 7 Uhr los und war erst am späten Nachmittag gegen 17 Uhr wieder zurück am Campingplatz der O'Reillys. Der Weg hier her führt durch dichten und dunklen Regenwald, über breite und schmale Wanderwege, über kleine Bäche und Flüsse, Berg auf und Bergab. Dieser Track ist echt Hardcore und man sollte schon Fit sein. Ich bin den Weg nicht als Rundweg gewandert, nur hin und zurück, wäre sonst noch viel länger unterwegs gewesen. Achtung an alle Wanderlustigen, das Wetter kann hier auf fast 1000 Meter Höhe schnell umschlagen, vor allem im Sommer. Tragt unbedingt hier festes Schuhwerk, nehmt eine Regenjacke mit und einen Wanderstock. Verpflegung, Trail Map, Taschenlampe, Trinkwasser und vielleicht ein First Aid Kit wären auch ratsam. Wenn es hier anfängt aus Kübeln zu schütten, wird es schnell matschig, Bäche und Flüsse schwellen schnell an und es wird schnell, sehr schnell dunkel im Regenwald. Wenn hier im Park ein Baum umfällt und er über einem Wanderweg quer liegt, bleibt er da auch, also müsst ihr vielleicht auch mal klettern. Außerdem gibt es hier sehr giftige Schlangen, mir sind hier mehr als einmal Schlangen über den Weg gekrochen. Also Augen immer auf und nie den Weg verlassen, hier kann man sich verlaufen. Coomera Falls is a must-visit. The trail through the rainforest is peaceful and well-marked, and the views at the lookout are absolutely worth it. The waterfall is powerful and the gorge is breathtaking.
