An amazing place, Borenore Creek has cut a giant arch cave through a limestone hill (which is full of marine fossils) before plunging underground and cutting a huge overhang cave a little further on.

This used to be a poorly maintained area, full of blackberries. It now boasts a large well maintained picnic area at the bottom of a moderately steep 2wd access track. A secure bridge spans the creek and there are useful interpretive sign in place.

There are a couple of paths through the first set of caves to the arch - or you can hike to the top of the arch (a great place to find small marine fossils in the eroding limestone.

The โ€˜Verandahโ€™ Cave is some distance downstream. There is a long overhang cave along the creek at this point as well as a number of number of deeper very narrow crawl caves following the underground course...

The Verandah cave was not worth the walk. It was dusty and hadn't been swept in quite some time. Perhaps due to the long weekend but there were no cocktails to be had on the veranda. We didn't see any koalas or emus in any of the caves, so I must assume that they were transported to other tourist spots, perhaps to Sydney for Vivid. The site did have a most wonderful footbridge that had reliable traction and a handrail of good dimensions that you could really get your...

Arch Cave is lovely. This is 500m from the carpark before you start your trail to Verandah Cave. It is quite challenging to get to if you are not sure footed as it is a bit steep but only for about 8 metres so just take your time. The trail to Verandah Cave is nice and easy- only one fairly steep hill. The cave itself is beautiful. Rock overhanging a running creek. Worth a look if you feel like being in nature and...

You can visit the place from the front in the second photo or else towards the north side from the both sides the caves seems extremely beautiful and you can see the river passing from inside of the cave. Beautiful place to go with family as there is park in front so you can sit and have quality time. Tip you can collect some wild water crest growing under the bridge during the season.
