The Barnyard (Northside Produce) — Local services in Brisbane City

I would think seriously about doing business with this company again after I was rudely treated by owners&staff after I attempted to explain that I wanted the return of my caravan that was on their property After a member of their staff refused to pay rent.After my initial conversation with these people I then received obscene&abusive texts(211 to be precise)by one of Brisbane Northside Produce's staff by the name of Christine. These texts would definitely be considered something that would come from a person that used this language on a regular basis. I guess that because this person lived in her car for 10mths,prior to this company hiring her,they were not aware of her propensity to use such language.This has led me to believe this company is oblivious to Christine's well worded tirades/or this company just doesn't care. I would not want my children subject to this absolute filth that comes out this woman's mouth. Most rational parents...

100% animal welfare check needed on this place. Chickens kept WITHOUT FOOD or CLEAN WATER - 2 basic rights for any living thing. Animals left panting in the hot sun without any water. During our visit, we saw a chicken with it’s ORGANS SHOWING due to a sore, it was bleeding a lot and other chickens were pecking at it. When we told staff, they said “it should be fine” I persisted, saying no - it’s organs are showing. He picked the chicken up by its legs upside down and it vomited all the way to the back of the shop, where they took the chicken to kill it. Meanwhile, other animals were dirty - too many chickens in tiny cages suspended off the floor - unable to scratch, peck or anything. Animals were distressed. I used to come here as a little kid, it was much smaller and beautifully ran - animals were well looked after. What we saw today was pure animal cruelty - will be reporting...

Please don't shop here, genuinely concerned for animal welfare. Very disorganised, messy and untidy. Lots of rubbish laying around and animals in cages without water/shelter. The air was think with the smell of something rotting/decaying. I'm only rating one star for the young female staff member who was working there and approached us to ask if she could help... her colleague was too busy leaning against the bench. I know business is tough, and I'm sorry to say this about a clearly already struggling business, but please don't support this business, I feel so sorry for the animals there, wish I could have bought them all...
