When the sign says steep hike, it's a steep hike! Moderate level of fitness required, and have sturdy footing as the track is slippery with loose pebbles. The tree carvings are amazing, and there's a bat cave on the right just after the junction between lookouts on the main track. Hold your breath, though, as it stinks! Beautiful walk, would love to do again when the orchids are out.

Climb to the top lookout and en joy the views over Buladelah. Well presented and cared for track, steep at first but evens out to easy. Nice cultural experience along the way. Lovely few hours of quiet nature

I’ve been living on the Mid North Coast for over 30 years and this was my first walk up the rock. There is a natural presence throughout the forest with amazing rock formations and flora. No wonder the mountain is of spiritual significance to the Worrimi people. It’s a relatively easy climb with views over Bulahdelah township and the valley. Yes, there is the drone of the freeway which is an intrusion into the tranquility of the location but it’s a small price to pay for the experience. Highly...
