Oaks Beach is a fairly safe beach used by Burnett Heads locals.Well Patrolled in the swimming season and some surfers on the small waves.Usual facilities toilets and cold water showers.IGA and Coffee Shops up the road for that first coffee of the day.Parking is pretty good and BBQ Shelters and seating available. Shade trees with tables and seating.Dog friendly but not on the beach please and on a leash at all times.Fun place to be and not crowded.Enjoy the day at Oaks.September see the return of the early morning Swimmers who tell me the Water is warming up now.For myself think I...

Oaks Beach is around 18km out of the Bundaberg CBD in Burnett Heads area. The beach is patrolled 7 days a week from 8am-5pm during warmer seasons. There are no dogs allowed on the beach, has ample car parking or can be accessed along well constructed concrete footpaths the whole coastline. It has freshwater showers and a public toilet block as well as flagged swimming area as mentioned above surf life saver patrolled. There are rocks in the water in the swimming area so be careful not to stub your toes. Oaks beach has roofed Park benches, some shady trees and a board...

Lovely stretch of beach for your morning walk. There is a little swimming area that is quiet, secluded and great waves/swimming. We went on Sat/Sun and life guards were on duty which was lovely to see. A bit of rock climbing if you want to navigate the black rock to check out the rocks pools.
