Daly River Barra Resort — Local services in Daly River

Very isolated, cabin was clean but very basic, bed was not comfortable and pillows need replacing. Lacked basic things like a bath mat and hand towel in the bathroom and no table inside (there was an outside table and chairs) which is where you had to go to eat your meals. Couch was quite low and not very comfortable and grubby on the arm rests. Probably best suited to blokes who want to go fishing and don’t care about all the mod cons! The best part about staying here were the grounds which were really well maintained and Marnie who ran the place. She was very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her. The fishing charter was a bit disappointing as there was no attempt to change tact when they weren’t catching fish by trawling with lures. Luckily they were able to catch one at the...

We are Lilly and Skye 2 labradors travelling around Australia with mum and dad. We stayed here at the 'Resort' for 14 nights. Well it's more like a camp not a flash resort. Good base if you want to go Barra fishing. Clean facilities. Abit isolated, nowhere to walk, limited internet, no tv reception. Park is set under the mango trees. Have to drive around 15kms to the nearest shop. Would have loved to see a camp kitchen or even a fire pit?? Ok if you want to do nothing at all.
