I wanted to share some honest feedback about my experience at the salon today. I came in for my appointment, originally booked for a single press colour and haircut, but changed my mind and inquired about getting highlights instead. I completely understand that the salon was fully booked and couldn’t accommodate the change on short notice.

While Jen was kind and professional during the interaction, I felt Clarey’s behaviour was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. She kept repeating that I wanted “lighter, lighter” hair in a tone that felt very condescending, and said she wouldn’t touch my hair. I wasn’t demanding anything — I was simply looking to consult and understand what was possible, especially since I’m not fully familiar with hair terminology.

As a customer, I believe it’s important to feel heard and respected, even when things can’t go exactly as planned. Today, I left feeling dismissed and misunderstood, which was disappointing — especially since I chose to return to your salon because of past positive experiences with you.

I hope this feedback is helpful and encourages reflection on how client interactions are handled, especially when it comes to understanding and communicating with customers

Unfortunately, because of the experience I had today, I had to leave and book an appointment elsewhere — with a stylist who was kind and took the time to listen to my needs. I’m really sorry, but I don’t think I’ll be returning to the salon, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending Clarey to anyone.
