I recently visited Hartsfield Park Recreation Centre and had an incredibly disappointing encounter with one of their receptionists. From the moment I walked in, it was evident that the receptionist was more interested in enforcing her own biased rules than providing a welcoming atmosphere. Despite my interest in exploring various areas of the facility, I was rudely denied access to certain areas without any valid explanation. It was clear that the receptionist's discriminatory behavior influenced her decisions, as she only permitted me to enter the volleyball area, which was in a deplorable condition. The facility was filthy and run-down, which made it evident that maintenance and cleanliness were not prioritized. What's even more appalling is the underlying implication that I, as an Indigenous Australian individual, would somehow be perceived as dirty and unworthy of accessing certain areas of the facility. This prejudiced assumption is not only offensive but completely unacceptable in any establishment. Overall, my experience was marred by the rude and discriminatory behavior of the receptionist, as well as the neglected state of the facilities. I urge the management to address these issues promptly and ensure that all patrons are treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their race...

We usually go here to rent badminton courts. Pros: Clean and modern facilities Cons: A $22 rental price per hour for the badminton court is much more expensive than others.

Tip: I've only been here during the weekends, so I'm not sure if it's also the same for the rest of the days. But it is advisable to book your court after 8am as the centre opens at exactly 8am or a couple of minutes past 8am during the weekends. This shaves about 5-10 minutes from our booking, so if we book an 8am-9am badminton session, we only get to play straight for only about 55 minutes...

if i could give no stars i would!! rude, arrogant and racist staff… reception was the worst for this… no help whatsoever!!!! the whole place is a monstrosity, absolute filth everywhere. when brought to the staff attention they said “you clean it then” and started laughing between coworkers. they don’t care about concerns. a lot of health and safety problems, as a mother i would not be taking my children around this centre EVER AGAIN! waste of money and time, would recommend taking a drive to a...
