Drove almost 3 hours today to find it closed AFTER checking Facebook and the website this morning, a post on Facebook stating it was running today. Got there to find it shut, my 3 year old in tears. Called to ask why it was shut and heard no apology just a 'that's why we encourage online bookings'. So a 1 star for both disappointment and for customer service. We were thinking of returning another day but I would honestly rather drive the two hours to puffing Billy. Nothing was open in the town at 11am, we couldn't even get a hot meal or coffee for...

Beautiful spot for a day/weekend trip. Park up one end and walk through the town. Take the scenic walk up the steps for a good view from above. Lots of information boards to read about the history. A round trip on the rail is nice. The old historical cemetery is vibey. Autumn is a good time to go to see the colours. Nice place. Nice people. Nice location. And I went there with my family and friends while staying in the Yarra Valley Area. Quite an amazing drive to get there. Scenic and lots of twists and turns.
