This place is magic. From the moment I made my journey over the river via the flying fox, time and my life back home, became irrelevant. The mountains provide the perfect backdrop to this wee productive farm of chickens, sheep, an orchard and veggie patch. Cups of tea from the kettle on the woodstove, baking bread, making wholesome meals based on food grown at Woll. There's always something to be involved in: chopping wood; cooking a big meal to feed hungry workers; appreciating the birdsong; fixing something; crocheting some new dishcloths. My daughter spent every school holiday at Wollangara in years 11 and 12. I refer to Wollangarra as her spiritual home. Now she volunteers her time when she can. Young people and families can be as involved as they would like to be. You can turn up for Stage 1 and 2 programs and have an amazing time with other young people for a week. You will leave the property and hike in the bush (often doing some meaningful work, such as repairing a hut, whilst on your adventure).
