Read moreWhat a stunning place. I have a favourite place in the whole world – called Anna Maria Island in Florida and this comes a close second! So high praise indeed. There are lots of noticeboards or story boards around detailing the history of the place. It is a small, friendly island, with something to do for everyone from water sports and golf to exercise spots around the foreshores. There is camping and guesthouses and fishing and good eating. It feels like a gorgeous community and we had a good drive around, admiring the wildlife (beautiful rainbow parrots), the views (of the Glass House Mountains) the beaches, the walks and so much more. I will definitely return again when I have the time so that I can kayak along the Pumicestone Passage and hopefully experience some of the sealife such as dolphins, turtles and dugongs which I never had the time to do this week.
