Well, finally Cooby Dam is open, well the picnic area and boat ramp area but not the dam wall area. Grass areas around the picnic tables and playground has been mowe. The water level is right upto the car park. The walking track is over grown most of the way around and it is closed to the dam wall area too. If you haven't been before there is also a little pontoon part way around that you can fish from. alsorts of birds...

What a magical and underrated location! We had a picnic, play and paddle with our three year old. Particularly impressed by the toilets - often these places can be so festy but these ammenities were really clean, accessible and smelt notably PLEASANT. The only downside to our visit was the amount of other people, but that is a testament in itself to the popularity of...

If you just search COOBY DAM on google maps, you get 2 options (Groomsville and 2nd is cooby dam rd, kleinton) Groomsville one takes you via cobby dam farm stay and at the end you end up at the reflections/ private property. If you are keen to visit picnic grounds then please choose the other...
