I visited this park on a weekday so very very few people around. Say about 5 of us in total. It’s a quiet park, about 10 minutes drive from Palmerston NT. You park boasts of various wildlife including different types of fish. It also has swimming area including a toddler’s pool, walking trail and a fascinating playground for those who enjoy a challenge…a lot of people host parties here, particularly, birthdays parties. The only issue I see with this place are the amount of mosquitoes ready to feast on us…so please..if you do go there, pack those repellents. Fill your car up with repellents because you will spend most of your time either blowing mosquitoes off you and chasing them away instead of having a good time. Other than that, the place is amazing: don’t let the mossies stop you…if you want to see an entire video on the park, take a look at my channel link...
Read moreIt's great for families. There is a cascading plunchpool with a waterfall and a adventure playground with 2 flying foxes. There a couple of barbeques and shaded seating areas, Good toilet facilities too. It can be quite hot in the middle of the day but the amble mature trees provide plenty of shade. There is a beautiful very shady walk along the creek but make sure to put insect repellent on before heading along it as the mozzies are very bad along there. There is a wear were you can look at the different types of fish and turtles in the lake and you can feed the barra if you bring some fish food or...
Read moreLovely quiet spot. Great place for picnics! Has play equipment, fish feeding, water feature for kids, flying fox. There is also enough space that you can avoid people and enjoy some quiet time in nature reading a book. Tranquil, but fun. Good hiking trails and a spring.. It could do with a bit more love, I think. It would be great to see some swimming back at Howard Springs. Fish feeding pond looks pretty murky & heavy on algae, needs more fish to eat it? Birds were also very cute. It's definitely worth the short 20-minute drive. Lovely spot, would recommend for a visit. Take a...
