Stayed here for two nights in the 3br riverfront cabin, for a mini break to Mt Buller. We were a party of two adults and two kids, but could comfortably have fit another two adults and two kids if the kids were all happy to share in the bunk room. The cabin was spacious, comfortable and as per its description - literally RIGHT on the river, with the deck overlooking the banks. Our only complaint would be that the mattress on the queen bed was a little tired and dipped in the middle - so it could maybe use replacing. Also, as a family friendly place it might be a good idea to include kids plastic plates/bowls in the cabins?Or maybe other families' 3yos aren't as chaotic as ours and they don't worry about breakages as much as we do... 😅 Very friendly ducks and king parrots visited the grass outside bedroom windows, and kookaburras laughed in the mornings. The cabin had its own firepit which was a welcome addition on the chilly evenings. The grounds themselves are fantastic with their playground, pool, mini golf, giant games, outdoor cinema and jumping pillow, plus pedal carts. We barely got to utilise it all as we were there for such a short time but we were honestly so impressed. Staff were phenomenal. So, so friendly and helpful. I truly can't recommend it enough if you are looking for a low-key but still memorable and very fun family holiday/mini-break. We'll definitely be back!

They need to spend money to surface the roads because when it is windy, it becomes a dust storm zone and good luck sitting outside or cooking in that unless you like eating dirt. In rain, many areas flood and it is just manky then. I don't think it is ok to put massive air conditioners in tents. It's environmental insanity. IT'S A TENT! A lot of the vans and buildings are rotting into the ground. Amateur fishermen are always casting lines right by the people in the river so watch your eyes, and then they just walk off for hours anyway so animals, even birds and water rats get caught up in the lines. There can be a LOT of noise including very loud singing, music, noisy yelling conversations until very late. There are only a few meters between the tents and the river and there are no fences around the glamping tents, so keep constant watch on any kids because it is a deep river and the banks are high.

Fantastic park, we’ve been a couple of times now and just returned from a 5 night camp trip, management is caring and attentive, huge green grass areas around the unpowered sites where kids can play plus the river and nice ammenities. Kids club during holidays, ice cream truck that comes into the park, nice pool, playground, jumping pillow and good camp kitchen. Fire pits can be delivered to your site with fire wood. Saw a few catch rainbow trout in the river and plenty of people take their tubes down the river too. Also nice drives nearby to see the lake and surrounding rivers, rubicon falls etc. It’s on our list as a regular go to that’s for sure!! Scott & Robyn.

We just had two nights at Big 4 Taggerty, staying in one of the ‘Country View’ Bell Tents. I had originally booked a powered tent site but due to an injury swapped to the Bell Tent, and appreciated management’s accomodation of this last minute change. The park itself is well-maintained, and very pleasant to be in. The bathrooms were kept clean, and the showers had great pressure and were scalding hot but they were slow to respond to adjustments in the taps, so parents should be aware for children. The bathrooms did have quite poor ventilation, with the mirrors completely fogging up each morning from the steam from the showers - I’ve never seen that at a holiday park before! My child enjoyed all the facilities, especially the pool and the jumping pillow. The Games Room was great, but it would be better if it had visibility in/out. Unfortunately I wasn’t very impressed with the Bell Tent. It looked great, and was very clean and well presented upon arrival. The ‘Country View’ bell tents have a lovely outlook but are right near the Highway with nothing to block the noise (hedges etc), so traffic noise was an issue at times. A few stepping stones from the car space to the deck wouldn’t go astray, as the ground all around the deck was very muddy and slippery. The little kitchen/fridge area was handy but the inclusion of a kettle would’ve been better. I was very surprised to have no water access at the site. This is a drawback. We had our Jerry can, and the camp kitchen was nearby, but for $150/nt I don’t think a tap on the site is too much to expect. The deck was a lovely big space, but with no protection from morning dew the chairs and table were soaking and unusable for the first half of each day - luckily we brought our own chairs but again, not what I would expect for the price charged. The sheets on the bed were good quality and the pillows were comfy, however the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. There was also a significant mould issue in the tent, it could be seen all around the bottom walls, and all through the fly screen doors, and there was green mildew on the top of the tent. As a result of the hard mattress and the mould (which gave both of us stuffy noses and headaches), my child and I had very poor quality of sleep both nights. I’ve no doubt we’ll be back to Taggerty again, but probably only for proper camping. For the price charged, the Bell Tents are sadly...

As loyal BIG4 campers for the past 9 years, we’ve always enjoyed our stays, but unfortunately, our recent visit to Taggerty left us extremely disappointed. We spent five days at this location, and this time the service was subpar, to say the least.

On checkout day, the site rules clearly state that check-out is at 10am. However, as members, we are entitled to an extra hour, which means our checkout time should have been at 11am. Unfortunately, campers who booked our area for the next stay arrived at 10:30am and began unloading, even though the rules specify that check-in time is at 2pm. We were left confused by the inconsistency Matte of fact one of our friends arrived early and was denied keys until after 2pm, but these new campers were allowed in early. It felt like special treatment for some and unfairness for others.

At 11:15am, while we were simply trying to take one last photo before hitting the road, one staff member approached us in a very rude and aggressive manner, shouting, "Leave, leave now!" When we explained that as members we were entitled to an extra hour, his response was, “You should have told us before” and then continued yelling telling us to leave. Shouldn’t the staff already be aware of member benefits? We were left feeling treated poorly, outcasted, and even discriminated against. Later on the day we found out that just an hour before (9am) a msg was sent saying the benefit of late checkout was no longer valid due to it being the holiday and being extremely busy.

It’s unfortunate that after years of loyalty to BIG4, this experience has left such a sour taste. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the behavior of staff to ensure future guests don’t experience the...
