Read moreWhile there were enjoyable moments, I encountered a few concerns that I believe need to be addressed for a better visitor experience.
Ticketing Staff: The ticketing staff left me a bit disappointed. When I picked up Ski School tickets for my kids, I asked them about the assembly point, but they seemed clueless and couldn't provide the necessary information. It would be great if the staff were better informed and able to assist visitors with such queries.
Car Park Staff: I had a not-so-pleasant encounter with the car park staff. They were a bit rude and didn't let us choose our preferred car park. It's a shame that they weren't more flexible and approachable. I understand there were many cars getting in, but they didn't need to be rude.
Slope Conditions and Safety: The Howqua slope was a big letdown. It was icy, bumpy, and seemed like it hadn't been groomed properly. Many people were struggling and falling on their way to the Howqua chair. Unfortunately, my wife had a collision with someone, resulting in cuts on her hands. It was quite upsetting and could have been avoided if the slope had been closed or better maintained. To make matters worse, when we approached the ski patrol station, they seemed overwhelmed and too busy to provide proper care. They merely handed us a couple of bandages without even offering to help clean the cuts. It was disheartening and left us feeling neglected during a moment of distress.
Ski Lift Queue Management: Another issue we encountered was the lack of staff to manage the queues for the ski lifts. The queues were often congested with an excessive number of people. It was disheartening to witness instances of queue jumping and abuse of the single/ski school queues. A more robust staff presence, coupled with clear guidelines and enforcement, would greatly improve the flow and fairness of the queue system.
Overall, while there were some enjoyable aspects of the time at Mt Buller Ski Resort, these concerns did impact our...

If you are looking for the perfect destination to enjoy skiing, snow, and breathtaking alpine scenery, Mount Buller is without a doubt the place to be. The ski slopes were incredible – well-maintained, with options for both beginners and experienced skiers. I had the chance to enjoy the snow in different ways, and every moment felt exciting and memorable. The instructors and staff around the resort were friendly and supportive, making the whole skiing experience even more enjoyable and stress-free. Beyond the skiing, the overall atmosphere of Mount Buller is magical. Waking up to snow-covered views, crisp mountain air, and the peaceful alpine environment made the stay unforgettable. Spending 3 nights there gave me plenty of time to explore, relax, and truly enjoy everything the mountain has to offer. Even just walking around the village was an experience in itself, with plenty of cozy spots to eat, relax, and take in the beautiful surroundings. Mount Buller is the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation. Whether you’re there for skiing, snowboarding, or simply enjoying the snow, it offers an experience that stays with you long after you leave.
