I’ve really enjoyed riding the rail trail from Wodonga and reading the history of the area. It’s great that the rail line, long since gone, has a new lease of life as a bike and walking trail passing through some stunning countryside. The info boards need replacing as they are fading and the steel pylon’s running alongside the bridge are in need off a fresh lick of paint

A magical part of the Vic High Country history with the bridge restored as part of the Vic High Country rail trail, you can once again cross the Hume Dam here. 26km from Wodonga by bike, or a 1km walk-in from the Tallangatta side, there is also the longer walk/ride from Huon Reserve. It’s well worth stopping by to enjoy this part of the local history.

What a nice surprise while exploring the area. We saw the bridge but it was quite confused at how to access. Google map kept pointing us to private property or dead end! Finally, after running back and forth a few times, we found a good place to park and enter the trail at its 8km signpost. Very lovely walk to the bridge and over to the other end 🥰
