A must visit spot on K’gari. Best visited on a sunny day so the water is a little warmer and will look bluer. We didn’t swim as the water was very cold in August, but still amazing to walk the short boardwalk inland and then walk back to the beach via the creek. If the water is a decent temp it would be great to float down the creek (consider bringing an inflatable pool toy) and spend the whole day there. Can get quite a few visitors in...

Eli Creek is a natural water park you walk to one end of the board walk and can drift all the way to the end once you get in the water. The water is quite low and such a cool experience.

It can get quite busy there also.

Good spot for the kids, the water is shallow but just keep a close eye on them as there are dingoes lurking. take your inflatables with you and cruise down the creek. If you want a good spot to park up by the creek you have to go really early, there isn’t much spots by the creek but plenty of places to park up nearby. Heaps of dingo activity so be on guard they seem to hang around...
