We recently went on a kayaking experience with Southern Cross Kayaking and it was an incredible experience. Not only was the kayaking itself beautiful and serene, but our guide was an absolute wealth of historical knowledge. She was able to point out historical landmarks and tell us stories about the area that made the experience even more enriching. She also managed to seamlessly combine the natural beauty of the area with its rich history, which was truly impressive. The kayaks were well-maintained and comfortable, and the overall organization of the trip was top-notch. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a unique way to explore the area and learn about its aboriginal history. Thanks to our fantastic guide, the Southern Cross kayaking experience was truly...

Last week I had the sincere pleasure of undertaking a guided paddle tour with Cindy and John at Ganguddy What a stunning location and experience. And what lovely, friendly and welcoming people. Everything from start to finish with the tour was perfect. The equipment is new and easy to use and Cindy and John gave great and swift instruction so that we were on the water in no time. When genuine people run a business that they have so much passion for you can't help but be caught up in their enthusiasm and awed by their knowledge and readiness to tell a story about the waterway, history and kayaking in general. We loved this experience so much and we will return 100% for more paddles in the future. Thank you John and Cindy - you guys...

A well run business made possible by an easy-going, charismatic couple who are highly experienced in kayaking and its environmental setting - Dunns Swamp (Ganguddy).

Unfortunately, my partner and I were too late in booking a guided tour of Dunns Swamp but thoroughly enjoyed our experience all the while in our sea kayak!. A gorgeous, relaxing perspective of the surrounding landscape by kayak or paddle board. Highly recommend popping in to hire if you are camping on-site or nearby whether it be with family, friends, as a couple or by yourself!.

Thank you Cindy and John for your expertise, wealth of knowledge and friendly nature, we had such a...

Thanks Cindy and John. We had a great time on the kayak tour yesterday. Our kayak tour guide, Cindy, pointed out so many things that would would not have seen, such as tortoises peeking their heads above the river surface, an abandoned willie wagtail nest, a bird and nest in the reeds, a darter bird, cormorants, as well as information about the area. They provided each person with a watertight bag for our cameras, or mobile phones, so we could take photos along our paddle. The kayaking was leisurely and nit difficult at all. The cicadas were in full song. I would highly recommend this company, whether you do the kayak tour, or just a kayak hire.

What a beautiful experience. Starting from the drive from Mudgee through meandering hills and farms to the kayaking itself. We took our 6 year old for her first ever kayak . The owners were so friendly and helpful and explained everything so simply. Kayaks were in excellent condition and the surrounding nature was just beautiful. A lovely diversion from the wineries especially with kids. My daughter loved it, especially being given a picture of animals to identify on the way. We also had a swim in the lake at the end to cool off.Highly recommend the experience. The road towards the end is a mixture of dirt and gravel but no problem in a car.

Cindy and John know kayaking. And they also know the paradise that is Ganguddy - (Dunns Swamp in a World Heritage Nat Park. They are safety informed and provide life jackets. Most of all they are friendly people. You can take off for a short or long time and choose different routes to paddle. The water course is huge and full of bird life too. And as a bonus, you don’t have to lug or store your own kayak, recently i’ve tried out the paddle board option, and enjoyed the fun of using balance and also spotted a turtle, plus i could see further over reeds etc.
