Mount Terrible — Local services in Kevington

We did the drive today to the top of mt terrible went up using the Polletti track its about a 1 drive to the summit from kevington the track was tricky in places and should only be tackled by 4wd vehicles the view from summit was ok but not spectacular as its obscured by trees some better views we had going up but caution when taking photos . when comming down we took Newmans track (not intentional) as we ended up on the eildon jamieson road tracks we not that clearly marked but it made for a easier run down the mountain in general markings and road signage could be a little better It was a great day regardless Pack a picnic lunch great spot to...

Mount Terrible? More like Mount Amazing! This place is literally the opposite of terrible. The views are stunning, and the experience is unforgettable. However, I do have one major gripe - on our way to the track, Yorak's AU Falcon got stuck on 80% of the way up. I mean, come on, it's an AU Falcon! I did a solo hike up to Mt Terrible in the mid 1980s, having been there in the Army, previously; I was caught in a sudden out of season snow-storm and had to break into the communications tower hut, just to survive, having got severe hyperthermia, and managed to raise the local ranger using the radio-telephone inside, who drove up from Eildon to take me back down the mountain. This was the last place I expected snow, let alone a blizzard!...
