IGA Kiara — Local services in Kiara

Went in there this afternoon to get salmon and parmesan had neither in stock. Came back later tonight to get some chips, lollies and ice-cream which had tags saying half price on sale. Got x2 of each because they were on sale, paid for our groceries and then realised the price seemed expensive. Queried the amount saying it should be half that amount, the cashier explained that was for the next sale which doesn't start until Wednesday! Don't advertise the wrong price and then get the customer to pay full price. Shame won't be shopping...

Great little shop with a good variety to choose from, always has fresh bread and a great produce area. Is the go to place for a lot of the locals and the convenience of having a service station next door keeps his place considerably busy. The owners always come across as friendly and most helpful when you need it. Ok so I've been told there is a new owner. That explains a lot as it feels like prices have gone up a lot!! and no longer takes American Express....!! Maybe this is just temporary otherwise you can see what's happening here... Penny pinching!!! I only use AMEX which in 2025 is just as common as Visa.. I had about $140 worth of shopping which I couldn't pay for so I walked out. I finished my shopping at Coles.. I'll update my review again...
