EDIT - stars back on because this is best run speedway in Australia, High limits set the standard, and staff seem to be a lot better than they were coupla years back. Prices once in are still an absolute rip so byo food! I have to knock a star off for over pricing. Best purpose built venue of its kind in the world, so much to like and I'd go every night if the prices weren't so horrendous. A small chicken burger and chips, $20. 1 cup of mid strength beer, $12, not a pint. Jim beam and jacks cans are mid strength - $12 and $14 which is more than a pub charges for full strength. You would fill that place and sell out of everything including a lot more merch if you stop gouging the few loyal supporters you have. Feels like they're trying to make up for lack of crowd numbers by charging the numbers that do go too much to me.

Took the kids along to see the monster trucks. Gates opened at 3pm and the event didn't start till 6pm, ending at 9pm. I was nervous about using up 6hrs of time but we were entertained the whole way through. Lots of food trucks and merchandise locations to start with. Got the kids kitted out with some cool flags and tshirt. A bit pricey, but it's expected. Found some good seating, head towards the back straight (left side) to get better shade. Then left hubby at our spot for the pit party. Getting up close to the monster trucks was really cool. And got to meet the drivers. The main event was awesome. Had some motocross riders in there too and an American stunt man so mix things up. All round would definitely recommend. Lots of quite young kids around being rowdy, which is good to see.

The day of the Monster Truck event we received emails & text messages reminding us that gates open at 3pm - when we arrived at the event the gates were still closed and thousands of people were waiting to get in due to a power outage that was known about for hours prior to the event.

Unfortunately, my self, partner, five year old child and thousands of others were left standing out in the heat for over two hours with no shade, no water (as you can’t take your own unsealed into the event), no toilets and no information regarding what was happening - some were waiting much longer.

Perth Motorplex handled this very poorly and what could be boarder-line if not illegal for planning of events. I’m not sure why this didn’t happen but why not just open the gates as usual as the ticket machines did not require power which would of given everyone access to the Pit Party, food & drinks from vendors that had there own generators & toilets but informed people on the way in if the power is not back on the event would need to be rescheduled or refunded instead of keeping everyone waiting outside with no information etc etc

The event started late as it took time getting thousands of people into the event but still finished on time at 9pm so I’m guessing things were cut short - since we are not from Perth we travelled a 5 hour round trip, spent money on a hotel, meals, fuel and more which in the end with the VIP tickets cost us over $1000 but the experience was ruined due to the management of the event.

A free bottle of water on entry & an apology would of been nice

Perth Motorplex, I’m sure you...

My experience at Perth Motorplex was nothing short of electrifying, a high-octane adventure that left me on the edge of my seat and craving more. Here's my account of this adrenaline-pumping experience:

From the moment I stepped into Perth Motorplex, the atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation. The roar of engines, the smell of burnt rubber, and the sight of sleek, high-powered vehicles on the track created an exhilarating ambiance that set the stage for an unforgettable evening.

The variety of motorsport events and entertainment at Perth Motorplex is truly impressive. From thrilling drag races that leave you breathless to awe-inspiring drifting exhibitions that defy the laws of physics, there's something for every motorsport enthusiast. The skill and precision of the drivers are nothing short of extraordinary.

The family-friendly atmosphere at Perth Motorplex was evident, with plenty of activities and amenities to keep everyone entertained. Food stalls, merchandise stands, and interactive displays added to the overall experience.

The sense of community among motorsport fans was heartwarming. Whether you're a seasoned enthusiast or a first-time spectator, everyone shares in the excitement and camaraderie that...

Monster Trucks 2025 - The worst experience. Disappointed for my 2 kids. Power problem at the motorplex. They were aware apparently 12 hours prior to commencement of the event. NO COMMUNICATION at all with consumers. gates were meant to open at 3pm - not open till 4.25pm. arrived outside the complex at 3.45pm - took 25 mins just to turn into the venue and another 10 minutes to reach the carpark. NO PARKING MANAGEMENT AT ALL. It was an absolute disaster. TWO AND A HALF HOURS IN THE QUEUE with 2 young children. I felt sorry for the elderly and those with babies. In the sun, no shade and no updates, no access to toilets or water. NO QUEUE management at all. People cutting in. They opened new entry sites but didn't take from the front of the first queue. So people doing the right thing were penalised and had to wait. MISSED THE PIT PARTY - no apology or recognition of this. ONCE inside - nowhere to sit and watch the show. Had to stand to see anything at all. Long queues for food. Clearly oversold their tickets. Left early as we couldn't face trying to get out. For $55 a ticket, petrol, time wasted - my guess is we'll be lucky to see any refunds at all. The venue will likely never...
