Read more1.5-2 hrs drive away from Adelaide CBD sits Lake Bumbunga. Depending on the season and time of day the dried pink salt can be vibrant or dull in colour. Fortunately on our recent trip (January), even though there was no water the dried salt was a pale pastel pink. Based on word of mouth/other reviewers, it seems like the lake will have more water and is most pink during the spring (September/October). Surrounding the lake there are not many other facilities or tourist attractions near by apart from a couple of cafes and a public restroom.
