No Hannah. It Ferry Road, not Fairy Road. There's nothing fairy-like at Cable Ski Logan! It's a lot of fun, an adrenaline rush and an upper body workout all in one though. There was plenty of parking on Sunday when we arrived. A short walk to the kiosk and we were selecting our package for cable skiing. We all went with 2 hour sessions. Evan and I had the knee boards and Andrew took a wake-board. The tow system is too slow for conventional skiing apparently. The staff are pleasant, friendly kids who wouldn't look out of place at Bondi or beachfront at the Gold Coast. Cable skiing is essentially getting towed by an overhead cable system, in a dam, around a rectangular course. You line up again each time you fall off - regardless of whether you wipeout in 0.5 seconds or on the other side of the dam. There's some basic instruction given or private lessons available. So I am a little bit fit, right on the upper weight limit and love the water. I'd find it easy, right? Nah! The corners are the killers. Working the tow line and your position so the tow line doesn't snap you sideways is critical. The rest is easy. For me it was all bend, pull, crouch and hang on. Sore today, one day after our session. One hour would have been just a little too short. Two hours and I'm sore. Really sore. But the good kind of sore that if I did it on a regular basis would sprout me some of the muscles the pleasant, friendly kids already possess. Heaps of fun? Definitely. Suitable for all types? No. Adrenaline rush? I'm...

The location itself is breathtaking, with a natural beauty that instantly makes you feel at ease. The staff at Bayside Wake Park truly go above and beyond to create a warm, inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. The vibes were unmatched, and it was a day filled with laughter, accomplishment, and connection.
One of the most remarkable aspects of this park is the incredible support they offer to young people, helping them develop independence from an early age. It’s fantastic to see a place so dedicated to empowering the next generation, giving them confidence and life skills while having a blast on the water. The way Bayside Wake Park nurtures independence in young people is truly inspiring – it’s the kind of approach that sets them up for success in the best possible way.
As the year winds down, I can’t imagine a better way to wrap it up than with such an uplifting and inspiring experience. Bayside Wake Park isn’t just a wakeboarding spot; it’s a community that brings out the best in everyone. If you’re looking for a place to make unforgettable memories while also supporting personal growth and independence, this is it. A huge thank you to everyone who made the day so special – I’ll definitely...
