The Australian bush environment is not always a kind place. Monkey Face lookout is no exception.
Monkey Face lookout is an easy drive in a standard car during good weather, a bit of rain or some high winds and you can get stuck for a bit.
The roads within this national park are dirt and pretty well maintained, but a storm event can turn it into a giant clay slip-n-slide and then even in a well equipped 4wd it can be difficult to traverse these tracks.
Bushfires are another real danger during fire weather. Always look on the Rural Fire Brigade website for fire weather warnings before going bush.

The last 5-6 KMs aren't that smooth so that made it a little difficult for us. Overall it wasn't bad but one wonders, with a 4 year old in the backseat of a small car, if it was all worth it.
