I have been going to Melbourne Christmas tree farm since I was a young child. This experience I now have with my own children who love the joy of selecting the perfect tree, getting to cut it down and take it home. The tree farm staff are a family business who care about their customers, their father used to sell my family Christmas trees and now the sons sell the trees to me, I love this and as they really want you to come back every year and remember you each year. This year we were so busy we selected delivery, it arrived fresh and green and the delivery driver carried it through to my outdoor area where a temporary bucket of water was waiting. Thankyou for my beautiful 2.1 metre tall tree that makes Christmas really special. People comment every year in our beautiful tree.

I think my experience is probably an anomaly, but nonetheless I am very disappointed with the service. This morning I tried to call a couple of times to ask if I could pick my own tree and have it delivered. No-one answered, so I drove over to take a look at the trees and ask the team. The staff told me that it was not possible to do this. They told me to order the 7 foot tree online as they had stock. I drove home and tried to order it (less than an hour later), and they had sold out. When I called to ask if I could have one of the many I'd looked at earlier they told me I should have ordered online when I was at the location. Appreciate it is a busy time of year but the communication with a customer clearly ready to purchase from the business could certainly be improved.

So impressed with the quality of our 6ft tree, especially for the reasonable price point. It’s almost like it’s still live, it was so fresh on arrival. I was sceptical about having someone select & deliver my tree, sight unseen, as I would normally want to do that myself. But Melbourne Christmas Tree Farm carefully chose a perfect tree, and left it safely on our doorstep 24hrs after ordering it. For all the time and effort I saved, I will definitely be back again year after year! Thanks team, and merry Christmas :)

We had a terrible experience with Melbourne Christmas Tree Farm and I could not recommend them to anyone in good conscience. Communication was extremely poor and our tree was delivered two days after our requested date. We received multiple assurances that it would be arriving at different times on different days, including one call at 8:30pm the day after it was supposed to arrive saying it was half an hour away. The office told us the drivers were delivering until 2am so we stayed up all night waiting - the tree never arrived and didn’t show up until well into the next day after several more phone calls.

Trying to get a reasonable refund or even an acknowledgement that we had been screwed around was like pulling teeth. Again, multiple calls and emails that were never returned. Eventually two weeks later I managed to get the phone number of the manager from one of the office staff. The manager was rude and dismissive of our complaints. He said we getting back to us had been on his “to-do list” (for two weeks?), that the tree had eventually been delivered so we had no reason to complain (refusing to acknowledge that we had been outright lied to multiple times and wasted several hours of sleep waiting for the damn tree), and that they had a “two-day delivery window policy” so there was no grounds for a refund (note: there is absolutely no mention of this ‘policy’ anywhere on the website and I’m pretty sure it was a recent invention to try and get us off his back - at any rate it was definitely not a binding policy).

He eventually agreed to speak to the owners and we were issued with a refund for 1/3 of the price we paid, so we effectively got the tree for cost price. While I appreciate that we did eventually receive some sort of compensation, it was certainly not worth the stress and wasted time (if we think of the refund as an hourly wage for waiting for the tree from 8:30pm into the wee hours of the morning, it still works out to less than minimum wage). Unless this place radically rethinks its management and who it hires as contractors, we’ll be going to the Scout Hall for...

Buying a christmas tree from Real Christmas Trees Melbourne and Melbourne Christmas Tree Farm was one of the worst experiences of customer service I've ever had. I had family from overseas waiting at the family flat for a delivery. The tree was delivered to the billing address not the shipping and then there was almost zero communication between the company and myself. When they finally delivered the tree 5 hours later, they didn't complete the order as promised. The owner of the company tried to justify the mistakes by telling me the structure of the business and saying I should understand. When it was time for the pickup they told me the wrong pickup date 3 times. I complained and once again instead of trying to fix the situation they justified it. Finally they sent everyone in the pickup neighbourhood an email saying they'd given the wrong pickup date but didn't bcc everyone (a gross breach of privacy). The tree was nice but not worth all of the trouble I had with the people involved in the business. Will not be purchasing...

We have been going to this Christmas tree farm for 6 years and always had an amazing experience however this year was a bit disappointing. A girl named Lina who was situated in the paying booth in the field accused my husband and I of not paying for a tree. Now understand that we had two young children, we spent half an hour looking for a tree for them, walking back with this tree to pay for it then to have someone accuse us of trying to avoid paying for it. She reckons she has good memory and started being sarcastic saying "oh you guys must have twins then." The most appalling customer service and not even apologising after she realised she was mistaken! I dont know if we will ever come back after this. What was supposed to be a pleasant, nostalgic experience has now left myself and my husband put...
