Good name! Unlike most places if interest in Australia i thought this had poor directional signage and info. Also when I got to the end of the trail, or thought I had, there didn't seem to be a viewpoint as indicated on a post. The only other potentual sign had been vandalised. The pathway does nit seem to be used much as it's partially overgrown and what I assumed was the downward return pathe looked completely overgrown and I didnt want to risk getting lost especially as my car was the only one in the car park and I hadnt seen or heard any others for a few kms. There also looked to be some "Shot-up" signs, shotgun pellets and bullets by look if it. Finally:...

I got here by accident. Unpaved roads where you can have the car ride of your life. Got a sporty car? Try a route from Melbourne without tolls and freeways. You will fkn love it mate.

Unless you KNOW how to ride faster on curves, always do max 60! πŸš— The ride is through beautiful mountains. Tall trees. Vast mountains. β›° πŸ•β›° Accident-rich routes.

Oh there are a few campsites πŸ• around too.

Lastly, do not hold me accountable for accidents. Your life is on your hands.

Pics are on the way. You have seen plenty of pics of this...

Mount Disappointment stood true to its name. The views were negligible and to top that I went down the Rd 1 which was a additional 5kms downhill thinking it's still part of the trail before checking Google Maps and getting disappointed. So points to note for this place:- 1. Google maps doesn't route correctly and the trail starts at Blair's Hut. 2. The photo you see that I uploaded is the end of the trail or if you see a plaque honouring the RAF you are there. 3. You can take a off beaten path, but nothing much to see or explore.

The hike was beautiful. A lot of fallen logs and overgrown paths. The hike trail is not maintained at all. Hiking boots highly recommended. There are segments where you will walk through ferns, waist high. The trees are compactly grown together. Keep your kids close, as they can easily get lost. Do not trust google maps as it may take you through mud road which is only suitable for 4wd. For other cars, follow the gravel road to Blair's hut.
