After much anticipation, we finally visited the “Pure Desi” outlet in Campbellfield. While I must mention that I tried a few sweets—which were actually quite nice, especially the Imarti—we mainly went for their hot food. Despite it being a Sunday noon, tandoori momos were unavailable, even though there was still a board near the cash counter advertising them. Soon after, a staff member informed us that only three items from the hot food menu were available. So, we ordered the dal paratha and chhole bhature. After waiting for 45 long minutes—mind you, there were only four people in the store—we finally received our order. And here comes the most disappointing part: the parathas were clearly frozen ones. The texture and smell were unmistakable, identical to the kind you get from a packet of deep-frozen parathas (please refer to the pictures). This is simply unacceptable for a place that’s trying to build a reputation. We ended up paying $18 for frozen parathas. Please get your act together.

I recently visited Pure Desi Melbourne, and I must say, their sweets are absolutely mouth-watering! I got a mixed box, and every single piece was delicious, but the Motichoor Laddus were on another level—soft, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Apart from sweets, I also tried their Tandoori Momos and Mango Lassi, and both were amazing. The momos had the perfect smoky flavor, and the lassi was rich, creamy, and refreshing. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. A special shout-out to their packaging—it’s beautifully done and keeps the sweets fresh and presentable. If you’re a fan of Indian sweets and snacks, this place is a must-visit! Highly recommended.

I visited Pure Desi Restaurant & Sweet Shop with my family and we absolutely loved the experience. We ordered Shahi Paneer Kulcha, Aloo Methi Paratha, Samosa Chaat, Kachori, and Pastry, and every single item was delicious. The quality of the ingredients really stood out — everything tasted fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. Their sweets are also top-notch. They were very generous in offering tasters, which shows how confident they are in their products. Honestly, I couldn’t stop trying them! Overall, the food, quality, and service were excellent. We’ll definitely be coming back again and again. Highly recommend this place!

Stepping into Pure Desi in Melbourne was like being transported straight to the bustling streets of India. From the moment I walked through the doors, the air was filled with the mouthwatering aroma of freshly made sweets and the rich, comforting scent of spices that beckon you to indulge.

The sweets here are pure magic. I have tasted many, but nothing compares to the authentic, melt-in-your-mouth quality of their Milk Cake and Kaju Katli. Every bite tells a story of craftsmanship, tradition, and passion. The Pav Bhaji and Samosas are beyond perfect, offering that perfect blend of spice and warmth that only Indian street food can provide.

What really sets Pure Desi apart, however, is the love that clearly goes into everything they do. It’s evident in the fresh ingredients, the attention to detail, and the genuinely warm service that makes you feel like you’re part of their family. Whether it's the vibrant Pani Puri or the creamy, irresistible Kulfi, each item is a celebration of India’s rich culinary heritage.

Pure Desi isn’t just a restaurant or a sweet shop; it’s an experience. The kind of place that stays with you long after you’ve left. If you’re craving authentic Indian flavors, Pure Desi is a must-visit. They’ve certainly earned a loyal fan in me, and I’ll be back for more, every chance I get! Thank you, Pure Desi, for bringing a little bit of India into Melbourne and making every visit unforgettable. You have a...

This humble abode in a commercial area of Sydney road offers home cooked taste of authentic Punjabi food plus desserts, sweets and cookies gives you a feeling of home while being away from home in North India. The staff are warm and welcoming which is exactly the hospitality and attitude one hopes for upon entering their premises which is quote isolated but always buzzing with people who know this shop. Their concept of food tasting by the staff upon your arrival wins your heart instantly. I went with my husband and friends for breakfast on Sunday and everything we ordered from gobhi paratha to palak aaloo paratha to choole bhature and chane with kadak and masala chai did justice to rhe taste buds. The desserts and sweets have optimum sugar, food is made in desi ghee and is fresh. I fortunately met the husband and wife, store owners and they exuded the passion and humility and plan to expand the palette wirh more dishes in future. Its a must visit and I am sure, you will end up recommending it to others. Kudos to the entire team of Pure Desi. It can never...
