Service and staff 10/10. We had the shared lamb shoulder, absolutely cooked perfectly, roast vegetables perfect. Could have more of the delicious light gravey but charging $2 for a small cup for what was missing in the meal a bit ordinary, but a very minor issue in a great meal dinning experience.
Went today mother's Day with mother, brother and wife and my wife. We ordered entree prawns with main eye fillet, oven roasted. Mother, soup and local flathead fillet, brother flathead and chocolate fondue. Prawns was a plate of 5 small prawns on lettuce with mild sauce. Prawns a bit tasteless and many still had bits of shell. Soup very good Eye fillet oven roasted, I had a thin small piece of meat the others a bit thicker, all were well done,... Very very well done, not nice. The flathead fillets, being "local" flathead had me thinking I should ring fisheries, the whole fillets we small, no they were tiny! if you put the tail and head back on, they would be way undersize, the shape did not resemble flathead Cost of 2 courses $45, but others decided still hungry so went for 3 course at $60, waited 90 minutes for desert. Value for money not likely, food very ordinary,s good but waiting for desert while others being served. This...
Read moreI recently visited the Rosebud Country Club for their trivia night and had an enjoyable evening with friends. The atmosphere was lively, and the trivia host, Joe, kept the night fun and engaging with his energy and humour. It’s a great setting for a casual night out, especially if you enjoy a bit of friendly competition.
The dining area itself is spacious and comfortable, and the staff were warm and attentive throughout the night, which added positively to the overall experience.
However, the meals unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations. The chicken parmigiana was overcooked to the point of being blackened, with very little Napoli sauce, and was served with limp chips that lacked any crunch. The Malaysian red chicken curry, while flavourful, was underwhelming in portion – just a light sprinkle of rice and a few pieces of chicken, which left it feeling more like a side than a main.
All in all, the trivia and service were highlights of the night, but the kitchen could benefit from some refinement. With a bit of improvement on the food front, this would be a fantastic spot for a fun and satisfying...
Read moreHad dinner here on Christmas day from their menu. Was EXTREMELY disappointed by the food and it was a MASSIVE rip off. Very stingy and poor quality for a country club restaurant. We ordered the jerk chicken with rice for $30 and it was literally a tiny piece of barely seasoned chicken with a lime wedge as garnish. ABSOLUTE joke of a dish. We ended up having fish and chips after because we were still starving- the portion sizes for the meat were also small. I had the lamb on a 'bed of greens' which was just peas....and the serving of meat was so small. It tasted nicer than the chicken though...only thing good about that dish was the coconut rice (it was the only thing with any flavour). I'd expect this from some random restaurant but not one in a country club. Don't eat here. The service was great but we also waited ages...
