We were left without any form of heating for the night and were told to make do - it was 5 degrees at night. Tried calling their after hours line: took 4 calls to get through the first time, after some back and forth calls where they said to just make do in the 5 degree cold, we were told that theyโ€™ll try to contact hotelโ€™s management, never called us back, never picked up again. We couldnโ€™t sleep and couldnโ€™t shower because of the cold and spent most of the night trying to reach someone with no luck. I read reviews at this point and found out that this is a recurring problem at the hotel. We packed up our bags and informed the golf club reception about the situation who obviously couldnโ€™t help, we didnโ€™t hear anything from the hotel and when we followed up they havenโ€™t responded (also haven't responded to my partner).

The absence of heating aside, the space was decent for a place to crash but definitely didnโ€™t match its price point: The place could be cleaner, especially the balcony which was covered in a layer of dust and bird poo. The windows are very dirty ruining any view from the room you might have. WiFi was extremely poor, okay for documents but barely loads anything else. The breakfast incurred extra charges even though it was included in our booking. Amenities are lacking, coffee station not restocked, no robes or slippers etc, very overpriced minibar. You canโ€™t reach anyone after sundown and finding an alternative place to stay in our case proved to be very difficult. Customer service based on my experience is...

I drove 2.5 hours each way and paid over $100 to play what I assumed would be a bucket list courseโ€” but it turned out to be a complete letdown.

The pace of play was already slow due to the group in front of us, yet one of your staff continuously drove around pressuring us to speed up, despite us clearly having nowhere to go. We were waiting on almost every hole, including the 18th green. How exactly are we supposed to move faster when the group ahead is holding us up?

Instead of managing the course properly, this staff member chose to act smug and condescending, rushing us through the back 9 and treating us like we were kids. He even accused us of lying about there being a group aheadโ€”despite us literally standing and waiting for them in plain view on multiple holes.

This type of treatment is unacceptable. When people travel, pay good money, and expect a premium golfing experience, the last thing they deserve is to be harassed and disrespected by staff. Iโ€™ll be making sure others know this course is absolutely not worth their...

Whoever the blokes are that drive around and rush you through your holes need to have a good hard look at themselves. Had a relatively slow field and a group in front of us the whole day in which we waited for on 17/18 holes. Unsure how weโ€™re meant to play any quicker with a group in front of us. We even waited to hit onto the green on the 18th.. how on earth can we be any closer? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Not to mention the smug and arrogant bloke driving around hurrying us along like we were children for the whole back 9, to the point we werenโ€™t even looking for balls anymore. He also then went on and basically said we were lying and have no one in front of us. We made sure he saw us waiting on the 18th hole for the group in front of us too..

Drove 5.5 hours and paid $100+ to play here and can easily say it was a disappointment at the very least. Canโ€™t say Iโ€™ll be coming back any time soon. For what we thought was a bucket list item, it turned out to be a waste of...

Our two day stay at The Dunes Golf Links and Links lodge was thoroughly enjoyable and very relaxing. Our accommodation was extremely clean, modern and well appointed. The room is tastefully decorated and we had a lovely view of the golf course. The bedding is comfortable with freshly laundered sheets. Bathroom has a nice selection of complimentary toiletries. Breakfast in the clubhouse was really lovely. The offering on the menu is limited but the serving size more than makes up for it. The coffee is freshly brewed and piping hot, staff are friendly and courteous. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We stayed here on Christmas eve. We were expecting a lovely breakfast here, since some of the review metioned a great breakfast, but a few days before check-in date, we got a message saying that all the facilities will be closed on Christmas day. And all we got instead were some cold, small muffins, some cherries and milk. I believe this information should have been announced before reservation. The room itself was very neat and the view was great. Staff were also friednly. But it would have been better if we got a better service regarding the facility closure.

This course and facilities are incredible. Immaculately groomed and very efficiently run. Myself and five friends played midday on a busy Saturday during the Anzac long weekend and we were very happy with everything even from the ease of booking. NB: The parmas (we ordered two out of the six meals total) we had at the clubhouse were one of the worst we have ever had. Soggy and no way worthy of the $28. Other menu items were all delicious. Perhaps a bad day for parmas ?๐Ÿ˜•
