Yarrambat Park Golf Course — Local services in Melbourne

Seems to have changed management recently. Wouldn’t return.

Played here with a social group recently to be advised that they dont trust non-members with carts and refused to allow us to have them. Group has been playing here for decades. Disgraceful.

What is worse, is that after walking down the 18th hole, i saw four blokes with pots of beers walking down hole 10. Now, as much as i appreciate a beer with golf, there is such a thing as an RSA and the red line. It would be fairly easy to suggest that the red line doesnt extend to the entire golf course. When asking the bartender if golfers could have pots on the course and advising him of what i saw, he didnt really seek to care. So not sure who runs this place but it has a real sense of fawlty towers to...

I had a very positive experience dealing with Toby Walker in the Yarambat pro shop. I sought Toby's expertise and found his wealth of knowledge, care, honesty and treating my equipment as it was his own a relief. It took me 3 tries to find a pro shop that actively listened to what I wanted and were able to help me which was awful. I thought good service and competency was dead these days until I met Toby. If I were to ever need assistance with equipment, a golf lesson or anything to do with Golf in general I'd highly recommend Toby. This is our local golf course and recently took our kids to the driving range there and it was incredible. The kids had a ball and the location is so serene. I recommended to our friends as well. We went again this week only to be told they no longer lend out clubs to kids unless they are part of the youth program because people steal them. We offered to leave our licence but they wouldn't. Really disappointing service and the kids were devastated. Clearly don't want to cater to future golfers or want parents to buy them for the odd occassion they go to the range.
