The murray river is a very nice place for speedboating and fishing. It is a good campsite place as the river banks are empty and lots of space for camping. The fish there are plenty and even if you do catch carps, they can still be used as crab bait or even fish bait in the murray river. Going there with kids is very fun and going fishing is extremely entertaining. Only problem at the Murray is that there is hardly any celluar connection and service incase of an emergency. Also if you do bring your phone you will need a power bank/generator. Still...

I don’t know what magic it possesses, but it certainly casts its spell on me. I go there frequently: though I’ll not necessarily visit the same part of it each time. I’ve been there in times of churning flood, I’ve seen it low with towering banks in times of drought, and I’ve marvelled at it when it is just doing its thing … but I am sure I can hear the old bush poets...

I have met a few people who live along the river who have never been to a beach! They don’t see the need to when they have their river! I wish it ever flowing with abundance of water forever for the many many crops that rely on it, for the local recreation, for the scenery, for the birds and vegetation... Long live the mighty...
