SKYONE Moruya Heads — Local services in Moruya

I went there for AFF course based on a recommendation, and they didn't disappoint. They have nice accommodation for students inside the dropzone, after you have your breakfast, walk a few steps and board in the airplane for skydiving. They have a nice Airvan airplane, and other 2 smaller. There is a fridge for students, a kitchen, so you can buy food in the city and cook your dinner, share with others, have some beer at night, you save a lot with accommodation and food, compared to other places in Australia. I felt very welcome when I was there, I didn't feel explored, some places it look that just want to take your money, and don't care about you at all. The instructors looks really good (well, I don't have too much reference, as I just finished my AFF course), they teach a lot of situations, so you can feel very confident when you jump into the sky, you will know what to do to don't get hurt. Their landing are is huge, but they also teach what to do in case you have to land outside. The airport is almost private, no problems due to traffic. They also don't look to have too many Tandem jumps, as it's a small city. I know that some dropzones make priority on tandem over their students and sport jumpers, I think it won't be a problem there. The only problem is that I got bad lucky with weather, not their fault. And it takes long time to reach there from Singapore,...

Absolutely one of the best experiences i have ever had! 15,000ft is a long way up, i thought i would be nervous but thanks to Phelix and everyone on the plane ride up i wasn't nervous at all! After watching everyone leave the plane it was my time to jump. The free fall is amazing, you don't feel like you imagine you will, it isn't scary at all, i couldn't see anything but clouds it was like another world up there! And most importantly you actually do feel safe! Soon enough after over a minute Phelix opened the parachute, let me take control for a little bit while we had some pretty awesome photos! The view was to die for! I was nervous when i received a skydive as a gift voucher and i never would have thought i would have actually done it! But i did! No regrets, everything was perfect.

If you are thinking about it, do it. It is an experience you will not forget and to look back on the video and photos i got it blows me away that i actually did it! I definitely recommend the video and photos, if you are going to do something as amazing and brave as this you may as well have proof!

Incredible Experience and Amazing Staff!

I stayed at the nice on-site accommodation and completed my AFF course over 4 days. I had been tandem before and had a great time but jumping solo is something you just have to experience to understand!

All the staff were amazingly knowledgeable and more helpful than you could imagine. The level of experience among their instructors is incredible, but at the same time they are all very approachable and genuine. One night we went out to the club for dinner, another we all hung out at the Drop Zone. With their help, getting my A license was actually easier than I was expecting.

Moruya is a gorgeous spot on the coast and provides a great view from the air. The on-site accommodation was hostel style. My girlfriend wasn't doing the course but she came and stayed a few nights too. Bedding and towels were provided, plus there is a kitchen where we cooked our own breakfast every morning after we came back from watching the sunrise on the beach.

In short... It has been one of the best weeks of my life and I can't wait to get...
