We stayed 2 nights at Undarra in a Pioneer Hut. The cabin was good size. The bed was comfortable and there was also a comfortable lounge suite. The shower was roomy with plenty of hot water - it’s not fully enclosed and water can spray out onto the floor of the ensuite. The aircon worked ok. There was a small fridge and a kettle. However, nothing else to support independent travellers. Fortunately we carry all the necessary equipment for making simple meals and cleaning up and were able to breakfast on the very pleasant verandah. No kitchen sink meant utensils had to be washed in the ensuite hand basin. On the first night we dined at the restaurant. The food was very ordinary so the second night we made our own dinner.    Read moreThe Archway Tour and Evening Tours were great. Overall the service of the staff was good. We had a caravan site for two nights - the water pressure is bad - had to keep filling our tanks and using on board pump for water pressure. We thought we treat ourselves the first evening to happy hour after setting up but wasted $45 on the Ploughmans Platter with a bottle of wine special - the platter is normally $29 on its own, um no, don’t do it. And, the bottle of wine was seriously cheap nasty stuff. Just enjoy a beer and order the side of chips...
   Read moreIt was our first visit to Undara last weekend and we enjoyed the experience. The gorgeous train carriage was clean and compact. We did the Archway tour (the guide was informative but we would have enjoyed some more local stories and banter.) We highly recommend catching the sunset from the Bluff lookout. The restaurant had delicious meals at a reasonable price with a good wine selection. The staff were pleasant but we were disappointed that the communal fire had to be put out whilst a group of us were still...
