What a cracking little spot this is! π€©
Clearly well known to locals, we just happened to drop in on an absolutely stunning arvo while exploring around Renmark. Only a short drive up the road, it was probably the nicest spot of our trip.
Pretty relaxing vibe with plenty of seating and lawn space overlooking a rather picturesque bend in the Murray River. ποΈ
Unfortunately we went for lunch and to say the offering was underwhelming is quite the understatement.. There was only one option, a pizza food truck but you would have been better off with a McCain frozen pizza. π
They had a menu but not sure why as there were barely any toppings to be found on what was served up. And at $17 a pop for a child's size, your eyes will be watering long before your mouth ever does.
Still, the beer is fantastic with most of the brews we tried well worth a revisit. Refreshing, full of flavour and hitting all the right notes. πΊ
Make sure to eat before you go and you won't be disappointed. Great spot....
Β Β Β Read moreWe had our wedding at the Woolshed in April and it was absolutely beautiful. We had our ceremony in the chapel garden and our reception on the undercover deck and inside the woolshed looking out onto the river. Our guests loved the venue and how warm and friendly it felt, its like a hidden paradise. Sarah and Tom (the owners) were brilliant, they helped us set up and pack up, nothing was too much and they were really comforting and reassuring...even when I started second guessing choices and sending heaps of emails Sarah was awesome. These guys are the best!!!
The ales are delicious, the hard lemonade is really refreshing and the atmosphere is magic. Its a really lovely way to waste an afternoon πΊπΊ.
We also stayed at the cottage for 2 nights snd I would highly recommend it, there is everything you need for a few days away, winter or summer.
Thank you...
Β Β Β Read moreIt doesn't look like much from the road, just a tin shed really, but what a great place it is, so quite and secluded. You can sit on the deck overlooking the Murray sipping on some of the hard lemonade or one of the craft beers that are all made in house at their very own brewery. Food is available i think only on weekends though when there is a caterer on site as they dont have a kitchen. There was greek food available when we were there which was really tasty but i think it had been sitting in the warmer for a few hours as it was basically cold and the pitta bread was stale. Apart from that definitely a nice relaxing place to spend a few hours and a must see destination when visiting...
