Wanted to say it was great but unfortunately that would be a lie. It was a wet & fairly cool night when we got in Fri 7.6.24, the fan in the main bedroom was on flat out. We thought we’d put the air con on for 5 mins while we ate dinner & had showers just to take the chill out of the cabin but when we stood in front of the AC unit, about to turn it on, we noticed something like a dust thread/ spider web hanging out of the corner, so opened the front face / filter cover & found this………. Absolutely unacceptable & atrocious !!!!!! Filthy, unhealthy & disgraceful!!!!! These filters don’t look like they’ve been cleaned since before 2019BC!!!! Given the recent years of the Covid Pandemic in addition to general airborne & droplet borne respiratory viruses, this AC unit is the filthiest I’ve ever seen. Needless to say we didn’t turn the AC on, went to bed in a cold room & bed, choosing to leave early the following morning. I hope for future guests this issue is addressed

A great holiday park, while not the biggest it had everything you needed with BBQ area and a fire pit to a jumping pillow, play ground, pools (Toddler splash pool and pool 1.6m deep in middle 1.1m on side with shallow area/landing for toddlers) and 2 great slides for both the young and young at heart! Very close to a beautiful beach with easy access walkways. A simple games room with pingpong, air hockey, foosball table, small child's slide and toys and 90s racecar arcade. Stayed in the Elevated Surf Shack. Great view of the pool area, 2 lots of bunk beds in 1 room and queen in other. Large TV in living area and small TV in main bedroom. Only complaint would be main bed was very firm, TV reception went pixilated occasionally and showhead seemed to lack the pressure that all the other taps had (Never ran out of hot water). Buggy hire is fun for 30mins and a bit of exercise. Staff always a pleasure to deal with.

This place has so much going for it — fantastic facilities, a beautiful setting, and everything you need for a great family getaway. The park is well-maintained, the amenities are clean, and the vibe is super relaxed. Kids loved it, and so did we… for the most part. The only real letdown? The beds. Honestly, they were some of the most uncomfortable I’ve slept on — lumpy, saggy, and just not what you’d expect from a place that gets everything else so right. If they upgrade the mattresses, this could easily be a 5-star stay. Still worth a visit — just maybe bring a mattress topper or a sense of humour.

Although we had a cracking trip and this park has so much potential, Im pretty let down by what you get for your money at Big 4 Nambucca Heads.

The park is in a great spot, direct beach access and has facilities like waterslide kids playground jumping pillow, but when you put the Big 4 brand on a park and charge premium rates it's generally expected to be a premium park. Things I get from other Big 4 parks who charge rates comparable to this I expected would be at this park were lacking.

I overstate the size of my caravan to ensure I never have a problem fitting on a site. Have to park my tow vehicle diagonal sloped with my A frame so it all fits and this was my tightest fit to date. My awning extends to within 5cm of the boundary tree. Imagine the site I might of had if I didn't overstate the van size. Saw several others with similar issues too. I can live with it but it's hardly worth the rate charged. Utilities connections. The bloke 2 sites down has his power across the site between us (which the park has booked 3 families with 3 cars to tent camp on) then connected on our site. I have long cords and hoses but many people would struggle to hook up. The poor couple on the site next to one of the concrete walkways has to run all his connections across the walkway, which means anyone walking through there in the night could likely unplug this couple or send themselves into a superman dive across the road. Any park I have stayed at during peak times (particularly one with such a high tariff) cleans the amenities multiple times daily. Once at most is my estimate here based on how disgusting they were. Rarely even see staff floating around doing anything. You know it's not great when those with permanent vans tell you it's poorly managed. I can't get past the tariffs. This is most definitely not comparable to the premium park rates of other parks which are same rate yet are far superior in comfort, amenity and enjoyment. Hot water has run out twice during our 6 night stay. Not sure on the setup but clearly inadequate for the amount of guests they'll have in the park. Again a first I've experienced in any park even at peak times. I don't think this staff member was supposed to be a lifeguard on waterslide duty (if so she was missing any form of lifeguard aid floatation device or first aid etc) but she looked to be mid teens and from what I can gather was there to remind people/enforce the slide safety rules. That only works if they seem to have authority and I feel sorry for this poor girl as she was repeatedly ignored until the ignorant delinquent clowns almost ended up in a brawl only able to be stopped by adult male guests stepping up to the plate. I'm my opinion this whole scenario is a complete fail in the park's duty of care obligations to both its staff and patrons.

This is the first Big 4 park (or affiliate) which I will not return to given the proximity of other prominent industry brands and my experience here. When even the permanent residents will openly discuss with you they feel the place is poorly managed it sends a...

Park looks good in photos and reviews. It was a different story once there. Amenities left much to be desired for a big4, they were not clean the majority of the time and if you did a trip to the toilet once the sun had gone down you needed to take a torch as it was dark all the time. Showers looked newish but the design has a major fault as you stand in other people's run off all through your shower which was very off putting. Pool water was very dirty, we were there for just over a week and it was like this the whole time. Also there is a problem with the storm water system there, we had quite a few heavy down pours and it was not a good feeling when you have to be standing out in the rain trying to keep the drains from clogging every few minutes as the water couldn't get into the drain quick enough and also didn't seem to penetrate through the ground so it would build upon the site. Sites are all bark mulch which was just not a good thing in a tent, we had to be extremely careful not to make a hole in the flooring, note that we always protect our tent with an extra tarp underneath before we set her up. Laundry doesn't have enough machines, and I'm not joking we had to either get in before 6am or wait until later in the day once most people had left to try and get a load on, the washing machines would be working late into the night like 11pm every night. Proof that there aren't enough and they had a few of them out of order most days as the machine where over worked. Security on the beach side is not good , quite a few people complained about things going missing so either they came in through the main entrance or came via the beach tracks to take, bikes, backpacks and eskys were taken during the time we were there. If you need to get anything from the shops there is no way you would walk it, you definitely need to take the car. All in all I and the other 2 families will not be back...

Firstly i would like to say thanks to the lovely reception lady.. This place is a lovely little place to stay especially with kids and pets. When we got here we were given a pet friendly studio It was awful. I wanted to burst into tears. Nothing like the photos Curtains mould on them Outside dirty mouldy furniture. Bathroon a disgraceful Kitchen old Chairs to sit on old a d looked dirty Floor dirty Nowhere to hang or put clothinvgaway I wouldnt have stayed for free However we complained and got a 2 bedroom pet friendly which was like chalk and cheese We were told that it would cost another 140 dollars for the 3 nights But we were given the 2 bedroom at no extra cost.

Nice little drmecked area outside Roomy living area. Good size kitchen. Good size bed plenty if cupboard space Bathroom and laundry tub old but clean You can hear the sea from the Park which is nice dog friendly beach which is beautiful a few minutes walk away There shoukd be signs for people to pick their dog poo up As a pet owner i was disgusted how .many people didnt As a pet owner maybe signs for these lazy people not picking poo ip But the studio 1 A dont even bother to book it . Thankfully there was a spare cabin as we were there mid week If not we wouldn't have stayed there. And asked ti be refunded Good for kids. Lots to do The caravan sites looked nice If you hav a dog Pick you dog poo up there are kids on this park Maybe some bins would help on the grassed area before you walkto the beach as there are family cabins, the last thing people need is that for their kids to steo in Thanks to the manager for changing our cabin

If you are booking a pet friendly studio do not book 1 lA It needs a complete ...
