Barramundi Adventures Darwin — Local services in Northern Territory

This is a great place and we are and will be return visitors however I want to flag two "issues" 1. On our last visit to BAD with the for sons 11 birthday...the Helicopter Pub Crawl arrived and all the paying land based customers took a back seat as the Heli visitors were pandered to and set up with rods and put onto fish etc . This effectively took 45mins + off any attention us normal folk got. That is not a whinge - that is the reality . If you know you have a chopper coming - put an extra staff member on for the fly ins and charge the chopper company. 2. Some of the outer ponds fish VERY well but no one EVER tells you this. As a result most just fish the flogged to death main pond. It would not hurt to build some guidance into the welcome / preparation spiel that your guides give "make sure you go fish pong number 3" etc . At any rate - this is a top spot for fishing, sunset and a beer...

Since my last review was deleted I will try again . Took the kids fishing 28/9 grand final day went to back pond where nothing was happening asked guide if we could fish main pond where we have had success last year (response was we could go there for the last 20 minutes as there was a fishing comp tomorrow and wanted to save it for them )😞😞 so I spoke with all participants on fishing adventures and everyone was extremely disappointed (except for the last 20 minutes) Guide expressed he didn’t want to be there as it was grand final and everyone else was off watching it … once bitten twice shy Hope this reaches the local crew we where fishing with as I know they where extremely disappointed- all as we asked is for a little bit longer for the kids that caught nothing.. The girlfriend having never caught a barra has just had a knee replacement meaning a boat trip was not going to happen. So off to Barramundi Adventures in Berry Springs we went. I'll start by saying my expectations were low, purely for the fact I've caught thousands of barra in the wild so felt catching them in a pond would be boring. I was pleasantly surprised how much fun our afternoon was. The venue is fantastic. Nice board walk to fish off. A bar for a cold beer. And easy going vibe. The guide was fantastic and made sure everyone caught a fish. The fish are a little doey on the fight, but this venue gives absolutely everybody the opportunity to catch Australia's most iconic sport fish. Would definitely recommend to visitors and...
